Portsmouth Naval Hospital Hospital

I can't say anything about the step-down unit because I was sent right to my room. But as far as everyone else I had an EXCELLENT experience. I feel the night shift was awesome, especially Corpman Mitchell & Nurse Rebecca (don't know her last name), they made sure that I was comfortable at all times. I am glad that I decided to stay & not go the civilian route. Dr.'s Lord & Fontana were outstanding & did a great job. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I would highly recommend to anyone.

i had a pretty good stay, the step down unit was very acodimating to all of my needs and i could not have asked for better care, However the nursing unit i was on had great care in the day but the night staff was rude and could give a crap less if i needed help. Still i say that this is a great hospital and would recomend it.

Yes, all the equipment was there. Great. But the staff at the step down rooms and later on at the GP suite were un professional. Miss informed. The people who transport you withing the hospital are a joke. i was put in a wheelchair I could hardly fit in and I was made to push my own IV pole and I was bumped around corners and such. Then I was left in t he middle of a hallway VERY VISIBLE until someone from XRAY could come and get me and then I was bumped around some more. The head nurse at the step down roon, Patti, was so rude, she didn't even tell me what her name was, the funny thing is, she was even military, she was civilian. TOTALLY DISENThiSED/rude/un-professional. The pople at this "step down room" were very loud and didn't consider that I could hear everything they were discussing about me right there! The Coremen staff was awesome. But their admin sucked. I have to say my DR's were awesome, Dr. LORD and Dr. FONTANA and obesity clinic coord..JAN CARLO is fantastic. Thanks so much. Everything else needs a lot of improvement.
