Park Plaza Hospital Hospital
I was very pleaseed with the staff at the hospital. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the fact that there did not seem to be enough equipment for the patience after surgery. While being preped for surgery the nurse could not locate the leg covers that run with the pump to cut down on clotting. Then after surgery, they did not have a pump available for the legs and we had an IV pump, but it did not work. That made it a little hard, but the workers worked until they found me the stuff I needed. They did a good job!!
Staff were friendly, but not intrusive. Pain meds were given quickly when requested. Staff were careful post op to make sure I was able to walk on my own and assisted my first times up. My only concern was when I went for my post op barium swallow and the person transporting me disconnected my IV. I grabbed the part connected to me so it didn't become contaminated, but if I hadn't been aware it would have.
I would never never never recomend Park Plaza to anyone for any reason. The nursing care was non-existing. If not for my wife(a registered nurse) staying with me there would have been no care provided. She was my care giver during my stay. The hospital nurses hardly ever came in. She asked for help in getting me up and they refused. She got me up and changed my linens and any other needs that should have been provided by the staff.
THE STAFF WAS GREAT. EVERYONE WAS GREAT. THE CARE WAS GREAT. CYNTHIA HELP ME SO MUCH WITH EVERY THING. SHE WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO SHOW ME HOW TO GET OUT THE BED TO WALK.
THE STAFF IS SO HELPFUL TO OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE. HELP MY FAMILY WITH MY CARE. ALL THE NURSES THEY LISTEN TO THE THINGS THAT WOULD BE EASY TO HELP ME AND HELP WITH MY CARE. THANKS FOR A GREAT STAFF.
