Ohio State University Medical Center Hospital
First and for most, Dr.Needleman is a first rate Surgeon. Dr.Needleman is one off the top surgeons in Ohio preforming this surgery.
The OSU Bariatric program is 110% complete. I would highly recomend for anyone considering this life changing process to do you homework!! REASEARCH !!
This has been a 2 1/2 year journey of insurance battles and education on services available. Dr.Needleman & Staff take the whole person approach. This is not just weight loss, but just a tool to becoming a healthier individual. AfterCare is huge!
This is emphasized over & over.
Dr.Needleman is one of the best Surgeons
I could have ever hoped for.
He take "TIME" and will make sure he has answered all of your questions. He is the real deal.
Dr. Needleman is a wonderful surgeon. He's got a wonderful bedside manner. He's very concerned when you have a problem. He's easy to get ahold of when you have questions. Unfortunately, his front desk staff aren't very friendly. You have to have a sense of humor when dealing with them. He is involved with the OSU Wellness program so the aftercare is structured and very helpful. He was straight and to the point about the risks involved but he also has a fantastic track record so I wasn't worried from the start. The only problem I had is he prescribed lots of medications afterwards. Overall I give him a 9.5. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are fantastic.
I think Dr. Needleman is very professional and is very personable. He was very easy to understand and explained things very well in my pre-op appointment. I am extremely happy that I am now in the Ohio State bariatric program, it is 100% better than the previous program I was in at Mid-Ohio Surgical. All of the employees at Ohio State are very friendly and cooperative. They are readily available and treat you like a human being, not a customer.
I was impressed with Dr. Needleman and the entire OSU program from my first meeting with the nutritionist and in over 2 years nothing has changed that impression. They are all very knowledgeable, open and honest about what to expect when and what will be required of the patient to make this surgery a success. My only "bad" impression was the hospital itself - very dirty, with used bandages on the floor, water leaking in the bathroom, dust and dirt all over. The staff at the hospital was great, however.
Dr. Needleman fully explained everything about the surgery, including risks, what to expect before, during, and after. I give the entire program an A+ and Dr. Needleman an A++ - he saved my life.
When Dr Needleman first introduced himself to me and shook my hand I had a definite sense of caring and understanding. He took his time explaining everything to me and my mother and didn't seem as if he was rushed at all and wanted to make sure I had all my questions answered. We talked about his experience rate and his success rate, both of which gave me even more confidence in him. The office staff as pleasant and friendly and easy to work with. I had done quite a bit of research and had attended a class given by Ohio State where he practices so I had a lot of information going in. He was great at clarifying anything that I was not sure about. He was not only concerned with reassuring me, but also reassuring my mother who will be my primary support person. At the present time, I would rate him a 10 out of 10. I really don't have anything negative to say about him. I will add more (if I can) as I have more contact with him and his office staff.
