Mount Carmel Bariatric Center Hospital
For the most part my experience was great. The overnight nurses and aids were particularly wonderful. The nurse that I worked with during the day wasn't so great. The day shift is very busy and I often had to wait longer than I thought should be necessary for a response to my call light-a couple of times my IV was empty and it seemed to take forever for the aid to respond to the light and then they had to go find the nurse to change things. The only real draw back to the comfort level of my stay was that whenever any patient hits their call light there is a ringing noise throughout the hallway until someone responds-which again sometimes took forever. This noise was disruptive to sleep overnight. In general though, I have to say that my stay was pretty comfortable and I have no major complaints.
Everyone on 7 Tower was amazing! The pre op nurse was awesome! The nurse who put in my IV was very, very nice. The anesteseologist (spelling) was cool, too! I'm just amazed at the level of care that I received. If anything, they came in to check in on me too often (in my book). This was posted 5/22/02 @ 7:55am PST
