Methodist Hospital Hospital
I will say that the majority of my experience was wonderful - but there were 2 nights when I tried to get someone to help me get disconnected from everything to go to the rest room and no one came and I buzzed several times. So I got very familiar with doing it myself. And it was not a major deal. I had some complications that required that I had an emergency blood transfusion on Sunday night and the nurses where extremely compassionate and helpful and informative when it came time for the transfusion. They really made me feel much more relaxed about it and it turned out great. Stacy and Teresa where the best nurses ever!
I gave birth to both of my children in this hospital and would have rated it "good" based on those two experiences alone. But, I received excellent care by everyone involved in my bariatric surgery. I definitely think the hospital is excellent. I know that they are very concerned about customer care/service these days and it shows. Top notch.
SICU nurses were great. When I went to the step-down unit, the care was really lacking.I stayed in the same dirty gown from surgery day until 2 days post-op as they couldn't find a "bigger" gown to fit me & another patient down the floor from me! Very poor response to IV pumps ringing...I even reset my own pump after it rang for 30mins & I even rang for the nurse(I'm a nurse,so that's why I reset it!)Care left something to be desired & the best care I received on this unit was from a great agency nurse, staff nurses were terrible!
