They had patient names posted outside the patient doors. In hospital I worked at previously this was not allowed because of patient privacy (Hippa Laws). I personally don't care. It makes it easier to find your own room when you have been out for a walk.

i was having alot of difficulties the first 24 hours after surgery and the nurses were overloaded. they would not allow someone to stay with me overnight to assist me and in turn i could not get a nurse in time to not vomit on myself. it was a very difficult and scary situation.

I had a good experience at the docs office. I wish I would have asked more questions, but I couldn't think of all of them at the time. (I should have wrote them down). He and his nursing staff were ready to answer any questins I had. He gave me information about how the lap-band worked. He showed me one. We discussed how to eat afterwards. One of his nurse had her surgery a month before, and was very helpful. She showed me her incisions, and let me feel her fill port. I was most worried about the port and how it would feel. He did address the risks of surgery. We talked about slippage of the band. The one thing I wish we would have discussed better is the cost, but they wait to see about insurance approval first. Overall I rate Dr. Spiegels office a 9. He did get me approved! Thanks Dr. Spiegel!

I had two wonderfully sensitive nurses (Suzie and Carl). The rest appeared to be there for the paycheck. I roomed with a groaner patient (only when her large family wasn't around) so that was not pleasant. Should have had a private room but that option was never given to me. I especially appreciated the efforts of the RN named Jean in the presurgery area who went out of her way to comfort me the week before surgery.

The facility is clean, organized, and I felt very comfortable with the care I received for my surgery. Afercare was good...could have been better, but nothing that endangered me.

I was in recovery for close to 7 hours before a room could be found for me. My family was not given adequate information about my progress or why it took so long to find a room. My brief stay at this hospital was one of the most horrible experiences I have ever endured.
