He is amazing. He seems to have a genuine concern about the overweight and wants to do what he can to help. I hear he has a great bedside manner and based on what I have seen so far, I have no doubt that he does. I like his staff so far as well. They are well organized. He was the pioneer of the program in his clinic and has helped other Kaiser facilities build their bariatric program as well. He is very honest and asks you the hard questions in your first consult. At first this made me nervous but then I realized he is doing it for my own good. He has really challenged me to think about my past.

Great staff. My doctor and my nurses took great care of me during my two day stay.

I also had a private room which was very nice.

It was a very good experience for me. I had one nurse who seemed to be a bit of a slacker, but the other two during my stay were great. No big complaints.

I had my orientation on March 18th and Dr. Hahn was the speaker. I was very impressed with him. When I met with him one on one I really began to trust that I would be in good hand. Overall the staff at Fremont Kaiser is very knowledgable and supportive. The toughest thing to deal with is the long drawn out process but I look foward to getting on the losing side of things.

Met with Dr. Hahn on 6-9-2006. Enjoyed the consult. Office staff in Fremont are wonderful.

'I think I lucked out in that being a Kaiser HMO it is they who initially assign my surgeon though I could reject the choice in favor of another. But Dr. Dennen is engaging

I am very impressed with Dr. Dennen. He has a soft spoken way about him. He comes across very friendly and like he really cares. He has a great sence of humor and was very respectfull. It also helps knowing he is the cheif of surg in Fremont. The program is very structured and so far the after care has been great. Overall, he gets a 10 from me. It is obvious that he is a very competent surgeon and he has great bedside manner. The only complaint I can think of is the nursing staff. While they were very friendly, It would take sometimes five tries to get them to come to my room to stop the beeping on the machines when fluids needed to be changed or something else needed attention. It would have been better if they told me they couldn't get to me for an hour rather than saying we'll be right there and then not showing up. The night staff was fantastic, but the day staff seemed over worked and not as cooperative.

The private room was wonderful. The nursing staff was kind and helpful, but they seemed understaffed. They were always hurried and had a hard time getting to all their patients. Fortunately, I was very healthy, had no complications and had friends and family with me, so I was able to get my needs met on my own.
