Hazleton General Hospital Hospital
In my opinion, Hazleton General Hospital is the place to be. They take such good care of you. The nurses in I.C.U. and Recovery are the best. Not only do they help you in any way possible, they take the time to sit down and talk with you. This makes you feel like a human being, not just a number. A++++
I had an emergency splenectomy while being banded. the ICU staff were literally angels. Nothing was a bother to them, they all smiled all the time and were happy and so friendly.
The registration staff was great. I loved the anestheologist I met with. He was very nice. The lab gril that took my blood rocked....No one can ever get my veins and they poke and prod me....not her....she was a sharp shooter!! Even the cleaning people were bubbly and talkative. The parking valet was really nice to my family. The only problem I would say I had or not problem really but things I did not like were when I had to have my swalloing test after surgery, it was a new doctor, working per diem, not familiar with procedure and the machine would not work...I had to drink that nasty stuff 7 or 8 times before they could get a clear shot . His suggestion was to have me lie on my stomach at another machine....I had just had a splenectomy...it was NOT happening. My nurse set him straight. The other thing was the parking lot was deplorable!!
It had huge pot holes that literally would swallow a volkeswagen beetle whole. the entire parking lot was a schambles and not fit for driving on. At the enterance of the lot there was a huge culvert of some sort that was unprotected
and unmarked. anyone unfamiliar with it being there or arriving in the dark would have totaled their car if they missed the enterance....Very dangerous.
Other than that I loved the entire staff and rested very well there which honestly I NEVER do away from home. The were wonderful
