Good Samaritan Hospital Hospital
My overall experience with the hospital and staff was exceptionally good. I just have one complaint. The first night after my surgery, I had this nurse and cna that were awful. 1:30am and the cna comes in to check my vitals , etc... she was really moody and didn't smile, I was trying to be upbeat and jokingly saying well, ( I only slept inbetween their every two hour visits.... I told her; I guess I have to wake up for this little bit of excitement, and she didn't even try to interact with me at all. I felt like I was a piece of meat and I could feel her sour attitude to my core. Then about an hour later I buzzed for the nurse, (a male) who came into the room like I was interrupting something more important than me, and asked what did you need? I a=told him I was in pain and that I needed some help adjusting myself in the bed. He was quick to say to me, well, there's not much I can do about the pain right now, but, I can help you move. He and the CNA moved me rather roughly and I thanked them and told them I'm sorry to have bothered and that if I could have moved myself, I would have, and they just hurried out of the room, no further comment. I awoke the next morning feeling like crap about how I was treated. I even told my doctor about it, it upset me so much. I was in tears that morning.I hope they don't get to do that to anyone else ever again. It was so upsetting! Other than those two, everyone else was very nice and very helpful. I wanted to post an excellent rating, but, I just couldn't.
I work in the healthcare industry and have been in many healthcare settings. GoodSamaritan in San Jose was a top notch facility. The staff was so wonderful. Everyone that walked in my room was kind and very thoughtful and went out of their way to help me in any way possible. From the CNA's to the nursing staff everyone one was excellent. I would highly recommend Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose CA
Very efficient admitting in am. I was the first patient, everything went off as planed. Recovery room experience awesome, nurse treated me like we'd been friends for years, made all the difference. Dr. Cirangle saw me again the night after surgery and the following morning. Floor nurses were very competent. I had a BSN giving me medications. I did have a private room, small but very nice and quiet. There was a chair in the room the nurses offered my spouse to stay the night if we wished. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there if necessary.
