I am the surgery queen, having had 7 (including this bariatric one) major procedures since 2001. This is by far the best hospital I have stayed in. Staff members very kind and responsive. Hospital is clean and new. Very good experience.

All I have to say it's that Florida Hospital Celebration is an excellent hospital. I love the people that work there. They are so sweet and nice to all. Thank you so much to all the staff of the hospital and US Bariatric.

I wrote a four page letter to the hospital after my stay and I NEVER received a response. It was good the first 2 days and on the last day the staff was inattentive, unfriendly, and not helpful.

My surgeon, Dennis Smith, MD is great. My first impression of him was that he was a very quiet, but in talking with him I felt comfortable and that I would be in the best hands possible for my weight loss surgery. The comfort level just got better and better. Dr. Smith, Eric and the staff are wonderful. So helpful anytime there is a question and always make you feel that you are their only patient. I have never felt rushed during an appointment, they take all the time you need, and that, is very important to me. Anyone thinking of going to Advanced Obesity Surgery Center for WLS should know right up front that Dr. Smith expects all of his patients to follow his rigorous after-care and plans to see each of us for the rest of our lives for follow up appointments. He is very quick to make sure his patients know where he stands on this point! He has the \"cadillac\" model surgery and after-care set up. I followed his directions to the letter and have not had any major problems. All risks are discussed before the surgery and Dr. Smith is good to go over the effects of what will happen if you don't follow his instructions. He is brilliant, in my opinion, and I would recommend him and his staff to anyone thinking of this life-changing surgery. If you are willing to do what it takes to make the surgery a success, you won't be disappointed!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Smith. He is extraordinarily thorough. His office staff is busy and spread very thin, but they do an excellent job. Aftercare is vital!

I first met Dr. Smith at the informational seminar back in April. He seemed very pleasant and knew his stuff. I did not meet with him again until my pre-op the week before surgery. He is a very soft spoken man who gets right down to business. He is very easy to talk to and ask questions to. After speaking with him personally I had no question that this was the doctor for me adn that I had made the right choice. His PA Eric is a riot. He has a much more outgoing personality which is nice because I had a lot of interaction with him as well. In the hospital before my surgery started Dr. Smith made sure to come and talk to me about my surgery and what the next few minutes would be like. He was very upfront with my family and made sure to keep them informed. His staff is the best. They are all extremely nice and helpful. I have never had a problem with anyone from his office and I can be a little high maintenance at times. lol I would recommend them to anyone considering this surgery. He has an awesome reputation. As I was going through my pre-op testing and the other doctors found out who my surgeon was they all said that I had the best. That gave me great comfort. Having been through the process I feel like I made the right choice in Dr. Smith. I can say he truly cares for his patients and their well being. I can not think of one negative thing to say about him or his staff.

Dr. Smith is guarded upon first meeting and grows warmer as you get to know him. As I've circulated among the medical community in Marietta, many physicians have volunteerd that Dr. Smith has excellent technique and is an excellent surgeon. One even went so far as to say that not only is Dr. Smith a great doctor, he is also a great person. Personally, I can say that it does no good to be in a hurry when preparing to get the DS with Dr. Smith. He is so very thorough that he is going to ensure that everything is 100% safe before he operates on you. rnrnI highly recommend this surgeon.
