I felt very comfortable with Dr. Sudan and his treatment team. He has very high expectations of himself and those that work with him. I have never met a more dedicated physician. Everyone is his office is very professional and pleasant to be around. I did a lot of research into doctors and I truly feel I had the best surgeon and team around.

HE ROCKS!! Though I'm sure he will tell you I am one of his most non-complient patients. He is such a kind, compassionate man, with this gift to give people back their lives. Amazing. I saw him a couple of time for a bowel obstruction (no more bags of raw carrots, everything in moderation!) and it was relieved with an NG tube and meds. He is a great doctor and I would reccomend him any time. Again, he ROCKS!!

He office staff has always been helpful and kind, even on days when I wasn't. The push the aftercare very much and encourage the group sessions which I have not been good at attending.

Risk of the proceedure was explained to me very well, I was clear on what I was getting into.

He is a 10 out of 10. A gifted surgen, wonderful patient interaction, and KIND.

Dietary needs to accomodate bariatric patients with more reduced/low sugar liquid meal supplements/variety/offer popsicles/etc. Physician(s) on staff appeared competent; Nursing - evening care/nursing staff was responsive; Radiology evening staff not concerned with comfort or communication; Radiology day staff exceptional.

Dr. Sudan has a wonderful nurse named Sue who answered all my questions. She gave me her e-maill so i'm continuosly calling or writting for help. Dr. Sudan is such a gentle and caring person. He offers a support group monthly that he attends as well as an informational meeting each month.
I would reccomend him to anyone. I started off making an appointment with a Dr. Ray Gaines and his nurse was an awful lady, very rude and in sensitive...so to anyone going to him...keep that in mind. Come over to UNMC and visit with Dr. sudan. I"m sure you'll change your mind.

Dr. Sudan now has a new Nurse named Charity who is just terrific also. Whenever I email her with questions or concerns I know I will get a prompt response. She is a great nurse. I just need to comment on Dr. Sudan and how amazing it is with all the patients he has.....he remembers our names. It feels so good in a support group meeting to have him call on me by my name. It feels great. At six months post I LOVE Sudan even more than I did before my surgery. :) I'm so happy!

Dr. Sudan I met about 4 months ago when my friend was going through her pre op requirements. My impression is that he cares very much for his patients. UPDATE: Dr. Sudan and his staff are amazing! I could not ask for a better staff to help me on this journey. I continually am amazed by the knowledge and caring that his entire staff has. Dr. Sudan's aftercare program is very caring and he follows you through the entire journey. I would not ever have anyone else do this surgery or be with any other program other than Dr. Sudan, he is amazing! He is very caring, as the rest of his staff is, very knowledgable and advised me of all the risks and benefits. I am fortunate to be his patient!

Dr. Sudan is very warm, friendly and compassionate. His nurse, Charity, is very competent, and a very busy person. Dr. Sudan is very stringent in certain aspects of what he expects of patients. First of all, if you are a smoker, you have to quit - and quit for GOOD. He requires that you stop smoking for a minimum of 6 months prior to surgery. His philosophy is that you are doing the surgery to better your health, and if you smoke - you are not too interested in maintaining your health. Dr. Sudan has a public pre-surgery informational meeting each month at Creighton University; he also has a monthly post-surgery support group once a month. It is required that you attend an educational seminar prior to being able to schedule your first consultation with him. It can take a month or better to be able to attend one of these seminars as you have to schedule it with Charity. Once you have attended that, then you can make an appointment to consult with him. Creighton / Dr. Sudan also offers a montly support group meeting that is very helpful for both pre and post op patients, not to mention that you make some pretty awesome friends with other patients in the process.

I have from the very beginning had the utmost respect for and confidence in Dr. Sudan. He is a very kind man and very knowledgable. I know that many of his patients travel to him from a distance including myself. I am very pleased that he did my surgery. Dr. Sudan came highly recommended to me by a good friend and then by three other of his patients who had already had their surgeries prior to mine which I met on the internet and through other friends. His staff have been very helpful along the way. I especially appreciate Dr. Sudan's program because there is such an emphasis on longterm care, life long actually. The nutrition program is spelled out in detail so there is no room for confusion. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a bariatric surgeon!
