Duke Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery Hospital
I met Dr. Sudan at one of his informational sessions in June.
I found him to be very articulate, educated, caring, professional
and helpful.
I look forward to having him as my surgeon.
Dr. Sudan is a wonderful, kind, caring individual, and an extremely gifted and competent surgeon. He treats his patients with respect, and courtesy. He was very attentive to my needs in the hospital, and post-op. He and his staff are very accessible for questions and concerns, and all are taken seriously. He explains procedures in a manner that is easily understandable, and is very willing to answer any questions. He has an aftercare program and is truly dedicated to see that his patients meet with WLS success post-op. I feel very privileged and lucky to have had him as my surgeon for my Duodenal Switch surgery. I would give him the highest rating possible.
Very nice. Very focused on BPD/DS though. I understand the benefits of the BPD/DS over the RNY, but so much focus. His nurse Sue is very nice too, although I think she may be getting overwhelmed. It's heck to be popular! The Dr has educational meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month, and he facilitates a support group on the 4th Thursday of the month.
I met with Dr. Sudan for the first time on Thursday, May 25, 2000. He seemed concerned and answered every question I could think of. So far I'm happy with what I saw and heard.

Today I saw Dr. Sudan at University .My letter is being dictated today and will be mailed to my insurance company this week. I am looking at a date in September. I so wish that I did this earlier but I was trying to be patient. Dr. Sudan does the RNY which is what I want and the duodonal switch. I am so looking forward to when I can tell you I have a date!!!!
