Dr. Rashid is very caring person. She answered all my questions during the consultation visit and pre-op visit. She called me the moring of my surgery to let me know they were getting the OR ready. She visited me before surgery and afterwards. I would highly recommend her.

The nursing staff could have been better. The first day and night my nurse was great but it went down from there. My last nurse, Margaret, was just plain mean.

The facilities were excellent. I was given a private room without even asking for it. The surgery staff was amazingly friendly and calming. Overall, it was a good experience with just the day/night floor nurses being not great. I think part of that was that they were overworked and stretched thin. I never had the same nurse twice and I think it would be better if that were more the norm.

Dr. Rashid is a very concerned and caring doctor. She sat down with me and answered every question I had. She was very thorough and informative. She showed me were they are going to place my incisions. We discussed my weight goals. She took a lot of time explainig to me what I needed to do and how to ge better prepared for surgery. She stresses the importance of after care. I highly recommend her.

I absolutely loved Dr. Steinberg. His bedside manners are top and he never makes you feel unimportant. I like the fact that he'd performed many, many lap band surgeries before so is very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend him. He was definitely a God send for me.

i meet with DR.Rashid on 3-08-07 and she seemed to be very nice and caring and talked to me about the surgery and what to exspect. and that i should lose some wieght befor surgery. and said that i would do fine. as for the office staff they need to work on there skills and learn how to tell the truth about things. and stop giving people the run around about there dates and just tell the truth. but other than that some of the stalff is very nice and care about your welll being....

Dr. Steinberg is amazing. rnrnHe's got this whole WLS down to a fine art! I was totally blown away by how quickly my surgery was approved. I tried to have the surgery approx. 2 years ago w/ Dr. Khaitan @ Piedmont Hospital, but TriCare denied it. rnrnMy impression of Steinberg changed when I first met him. For some reason, in my mind all doctors are wisened old men. Steinberg is a young guy, looking younger than my youngest brother.rnrnI was told by the staff at DeKalb Medical Center (where my surgery was performed) that Steinberg is the ONLY surgeon in the South East that TriCare will authorize. TriCare is also who provided me with his name.rnrnSteinberg has a very specific program for before and after surgery - if you follow his \"protocol\" to the letter - everything will work out perfectly. He is very very thorough, and, as a result, very very busy. So don't expect a lot of face time and hand holding, it's not going to happen.rnrnWhich is better surgical competence or bedside manner? Are you serious? Competence is always top priority.rnrnHis office staff is wonderful - everyone is very friendly and upbeat. Unlike the folks at Piedmont I encountered at my first attempt to get this done. They were obviously stressed, overworked, and generally too busy to be bothered. I was not impressed with the surgeons at Piedmont or their staff.rn
