Knowledgeable, Honest. I've met him 3 times so far. Once at the initial introductory meeting. Once when I had my first consultation and the most recent when I saw him after I was approved and signed the paperwork. He's a busy person but took the time to discuss what I wanted answers to. His staff is friendly and caring, again very busy. I am waiting out the weeks between being approved and the actual "event." I'll have a better opinion after that point. But so far I feel I am in good hands. It's not what I saw on some of the TV shows that explore this process, but again it's TV.
Close enough though, just that the pace in the office is faster. More to come!

They were good when I had my original surgery in Jan 2008 but I need a revision to my port and apparently can't be bothered to get me a price or in general to give a d@mn.

Before I moved to GA I worked in a large community teaching hospital in VA. It was home. The only place I had ever worked as a nurse. (You know that feeling?) When I moved here to GA I worked at another hospital for a year before I came to Dekalb. The moment I came in to fill out an application and drop off my resume( I was interviewed and hired the same day) I felt like i was back home. The staff and physicians are great. People speak to you and know you. I would proudly recommend our hospital to anyone. Dekalb Medical, Decatur, GA. it's where I would go...and where I send my family. hands down the winner.

The first impression of him was admiration. I had already heard great things and when we first me, he grabbed my hand and smiled and I felt totally comfortable. The office staff are kind and responsive. For me, surgical competence and bedside manner are BOTH important and he has it all. My PCP referred me to him after I mentioned Dr. Duncan and it was the best referral I ever received because the organization and responsiveness is hands down 100% better. If my experience is this good out of the blocks, I can't wait to have surgery because I know God will protect me and guide the hands of this wonderful man to a successful recovery.

When I first met Dr. Steinberg, I was totally impressed and ready for my insurance approval. I felt at the end of the siminar that I had made a WONDERFUL decision. He made sure everyone's questions were answered and the answers were very thorough. His office staff has been as helpful as possible and I have only heard positive reviews from his patients.rnrnOne area Dr. S made sure to emphasize were the risks involved with surgery. I have told my best friend and step dad of my wonderful experience with Dr. S and they are both considering going to him if all else fails.rnrnIf I had to do this over again, I'd do it in a heart beat and not change a single thing. Dr. S made my mother and cousin feel secure and assured that everything was well. He's overall just a great surgeon! I'd recommend everyone to him! =)

I would say that this was the best hospital that I had ever stayed at where I felt comfortable and welcomed. I have had some bad experiences in hospitals. But this one was very good with a well equiped staff. Nice!

Dr. Steinberg and the rest of his team are absolutely WONDERFUL! My initial meeting was great. I was immediately put at ease by Dr. Steinberg and the office staff. At times, I can be a bit goofy. In one day I have called about four times. My questions and concerns were always and are always addressed in a very caring, patient way. I never feel rushed when I go up to an appointment. I knew I was in excellent hands and was not even nervous on the day of my surgery. Dr. Steinberg is always warm, friendly, funny, kind, and genuinely seems to care. He is the total package having both surgical competence and an excellent bedside manner. Before I made the choice to have the surgery, I was very well informed of all risk, expectations, etc. I relly feel like this office is pulling for me every step of the way. I could go on and on about dr. Steinberg and his staff. I thank everyone of them. I would encourage anyone who is considering a WLS to contact Dr. Steinberg's office at once. You won't be disappointed. I do not have anything negative to say and I have never had an unpleasent visit.

The Staff was very Great. Ioved the medical and the caring that I got from the Nurses and My Doctor. My Knee Surgeon Dr. Jeff Traub came to see me also. He is so sweet just like Dr. Steinberg. They are Awesome.
