Dekalb Medical Center Hospital
my first impression of Dr.Steinberg was that he seems extremely competent and serious. a person who knows his job and like what he is doing and from what everyone I've spoken with about him has high regards for him. Also I fill by me going to his wife for so long and know she knows her skills he will be the right one for me for this surgery. As for his staff found them to be very helpful in everything I asked of them, asked them and him about aftercare and was told he require that you have a good structured program,he also talked about all the risks and the pros and cons of this life changeing surgery he left no stones unturned and for that after much reserch I know he is the man for me and I would rate him on a scale from 1-10,I would give him a 9 only because I have not had the surgey yet.For me surgical competence is most important don't know about bedside manner's yet will update later after surgery.
My first impression of Dr. Steinberg was that he is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor, who happens to be from my neck of the woods, a YANKEE.
The office staff is also very caring and make every effort to get back to you immediately.
I think surgical competence is better than bedside manners. I want a doctor who knows which end of the scaple to hold and where he needs to be performing the surgery. I don't care if he has not bedside manners, just get me thru the surgery ALIVE.
He was nice.
I only met him twice and thought he was inexperienced but now I feel more confident.
The staff is very helpful and supportive.
HE had only been out of his residency for 1 month when I met him in 2002. I had wish he was an old pro.
They have to judge for themselves. I dont have that much information.
He emphazied aftercare a great deal and stressed how important it would be to follow up.
YEs
He gave me the percentages but told me I still needed to know all of the risk big or small.
He is good so far.
Both great
