Dr McDaniel is the most upbeat, positive, most motivating doctor I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. His office staff is so very supportive - they are always willing to answer any questions or listen to any concerns. rnrnHe has a complete program from pre op to post op and then for years to come.rnrnHe truly cares about his patients and it shows !
The nursing staff were great!! They catered to my needs and made sure me and my family was always comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also very clean and well maintained.
He is the greatest! I have heard nothing but good things about him! He was very reassuring when I met him and I feel confident he is the one for me!
Dr. McDaniel is an incredibly caring and compassionate surgeon. He tells it like it is, doesn't sugar coat anything, but communicates in a positive way - no shame/no blame/here's how to fix it. Office staff is positive, upbeat, ready to answer questions. Aftercare is pretty much mandatory for the first two years, with monthly weigh-ins, B12 shots, and vitamins. Dr. McDaniel reviews each file, requires regular blood work, and will plan to see you if there's any deviation from the \"plan\", not just at 3, 6, 12, and 24 months. I knew all the risks, got all my questions answered, and was ready for the \"knife\". He has terrific surgical competance (he is the Chief of Surgery at CMC, after all), a great bedside manner, and is a great human being.
My best friend used the same surgeon and she was very happy with him and I trust her judgement... I was also very happy - no complications and the staff is SO NICE!! I would highly recommend him! He's very informative and understanding and willing to answer questions - and I've never felt rushed in his office... My best friend knows a woman who works in his office personally (she also had the surgery and was a big reason my best friend looked into it) and Ron in the office is also great - he's got a great sense of humor and always makes my day to see him! I had no problems getting approved by my insurance and I really have no negative comments about my surgeon or anyone in his office!
HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE WITH EVERY QUESTION I HAD. IT DINT HE STILLTHE SAME.rnTHEY WERE WOUNDERFUL. OH THE AFTER CARE IS AWESOME. I WAS HAVING TROUBLE DRINKING LIQUIDS, SO I WENT TO SEE THE DR. ON FRIDAY. MONDAY JENNIFER ONE OF HIS NURSES CALLED ME TO SEE HOW I WAS DOING! HOW GREAT WAS THAT!?! YES HE DOES LET YOU KNOW THE RISK. VERY CLEARLY. AFTER CARE IS AWESOME. THEY ARE THERE WHENEVER YOU NEED THEM. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SAY THAT HE HAS SUPPORT GROUPS SET UP FOR BEFORE SURGERY AND AFTER. THE SUPPORT I HAVE RECIEVD FROM THE GROUP HS BEEN ICREDIBLE!!!! LOVE DR.MCDANIEL, PAUL AND ALL OF THE POUCH PALS I COULDNT OF DONE IT WITHOUT THEM!!!! THESE ARE MY VERY OWN OPINIONS!!!!AND NO IM NOT SAYING THAT EVERY ONE WILL EXPERIENCE WHAT I HAVE. I REALLY LOVED IT THERE. I HAD SUCH A GOOD EXPERIENCE THERE. WOULD GO BACK IN A HEARTBEAT IF I HAD TO.
The nurses were awesome! Janie was my "Hitler" nurse and I loved her to death. She made sure I got up and walked and kept me in line. All the nurses were so wonderful and caring.
Very intimidated at first. Dr. McDaniel is very trim and good looking, thought he would be judgemental. Was not that way at all. He is very much there to help you. His office staff is very professional and caring. Ron is the GREATEST. Totally calmed me down when my nerves were on the fritz. Everyone was very professional, caring and understanding. Very much recommend him, his staff and the hospital.
