My room was a little small but the staff was great from the pre-op area all the way when transporters took me to meet my ride, Everyone was very curteous and kind.

My first impression was a good one , He answered all my questions,The office staff is great, very friendly.Dr. Classen and Dr. Davidson both will be doing my surgery, they are from the same office, have heard all good things about both. They are really big on the after care the progran is structured. He addressed all the risks, and I rate my surgeons 9 out of 10, their bedside manor seems to be very good so far, my surgery date is 5/19/2008, so we shall see!!!!!

Dr. Classen was a very warm and caring Doctor. I felt very comfortable with him from the begining. His staff is very attentive and my contact for questions has first hand knowlege of RNY since she also had the surgery. The centers support group is outstanding. I would rate this center with an A++. I have only praise for Dr. Classen and his center.

I was really impressed with Dr Classen at the seminar. He was very detailed in his description in all aspects of the procedure, pre-op, the actual procedure, and post op care. He really believes in post op care, and strongly advises his patient to attend support groups as much as possible before and after surgery...He seems to have a great bedside manner, and also to be a very competent Dr. i will fill you in more, after my consultation visit on Monday.

My first impression of Dr. Classen was that he seemed very knowledgeable. My impression of him has not changed. The office staff was helpful and understanding. My one negative would be that at this point I still do not know what time my surgery is scheduled and I was told I had to adhere to the cabbage soup diet a week before the procedure. The lady that told me about the diet was not very forthcoming with information which made me wonder if she really knew what she was talking about.

My first impression of Dr Classen was one of great interest and professional attitude towards his patients. rnrnSome of my family members thought (along with myself ) during my first visit after surgery was that Dr. Classen could've used a lot better PR in handling some of our questions. He comes across as being without a sense of humor-you know cut and dry. But, after mentioning his office behavior we were told by one of his nurses that Dr. Classen takes his medical procedures very professional and is an expertise in his area. As I have found to be very true. His number one importance is that his patients understand this surgery is not something to play around with and if one expects to lose the weight we MUST follow exactly as he tells us to do. My next appointment with him was of the gentler type and his manner was much different-still serious but with more understanding.rnrnDr. Classen is very through on the risks of the surgery and expectations from his patients after surgery. He can not emphasize enough the importance of attending support meetings and sticking to his recommendations.rnrnDr. Classen's staff is terrific! Full of guidelines and several of his staff members have had gastic bypass surgery and know just how to help their patients.rnrnOverall I would rate Dr. Classen and his staff as one I would recommend to anyone that is considering having gastric bypass surgery. It takes awhile to see why Dr. Classen's bedside manner is on the tough side---afterall he IS a professional and this type of surgery SHOULD be respected as such.rnrnThank you for reading about my doctor and hope to continue with my page as days go by. (and the weight comes off) HOORAY!!!!rnrnThanks to Dr. Classen and his staff.rnrn
