Barix Clinics - Ohio Hospital
This is not a hospital that can handle all aspects of care. The staff is WONDERFUL don't get me wrong, everyone I came in contact with goes out of their way to make you feel good about yourself, no matter what your size. My problem is I'm a week away from surgery and Dr. Adolph calls last night to tell me that he can't preform my surgery as their lab can't handle the blood work that has to be done for me and they are not able to get a drug that I would need because of it. I have a bleeding disorder caled vonWillebrand's Disease. He knew that on my inital consult. Instead of takng me through the whole process right down to pre-op testing, "I'm sorry you'll need to seek out a surgeon who works from a hospital that can better handle that" is what I think should have been told to me back in January. Please understand that this is just my personal opinion.
The staff was wonderful. From the nurses to housekeeping, everyone was warm and friendly. The staff was supportive and caring. I just had a really wonderful experience here. Having this surgery is such a big decision and everyone knows how scary it is when you actually get there, but the staff at BTC just puts you at ease and they are there for you.
I was very fortunate to have a room to myself and also did not have to share a bathroom with anyone. I think that helped with my stay by allowing more privacy for me. I asked my friends and family not to visit while I was in the hospital to allow me more time to do my needed walking so I can't really say how the accomodations were for visitors.
