The Center is now JCAHO accredited and they are very attentative to any problems or questions you may have. Although their willingness to make payment arrangements for any copays or Out of pocket amounts...leaves little to be desired!!
BTC is a beautiful facility. The nurses, respiratory staff, aides and even the food service workers were very concerned about your recovery. I didn't have to ask twice for paid meds, not even a sf popsicle when I wanted. Their response time was excellent, especially when I needed pain meds during the night.
They are absolutely wonderful. I had to have a 2nd surgery and was in the hospital a total of 2 weeks. Not once did I receive less than excellent care. My husband was distraught...they showed him every kindness and made the experience as bearable as possible under the circumstances. I would trust the staff with my life.
This is the only surgery they do and that is all the staff has to work with. Most of the nurse have been thru the surgery them self so they understand and are very caring. They still will take my call and answer any question I have and I had surgery 7 Months ago.
With all of the possible things in the world to complain about at hospitals-- long waits, rude people, etc., this hospital was absolutely wonderful and I would choose to go there again in a minute.
The Bariatric Treatment Center was very quiet and clean. They had alot of current magazines in the waiting area and also a television. The staff was very professional.
