Barix Clinics - Michigan Hospital
My Sergon is Dr. Popwalski from the BTC "Bariatrics Treatment Center of west Michigan" In Halland Michigan. Dr. Popwalski seems to be very kind and caring. But also to the point. Witch I like. His Office Staff is wonderfull beautiful people all who have had the sergery themselves. So that makes them understand a whole lot more. The waiting room is outfitted with extra big chairs. Because after all were NOT skinny yet :o) So far I have a great opinion of my Dr. and his staff. I will keep this updated in the future.
I had my consultation on 1-4-00
my surgeon is Steve Poplowski at Ann Arbor Michigan. He is nice he was a little stiff at first then, he loosened up , he is nice
staff is ok, he went over everything very well of course I have been researching this surgury for 1 year so I had little questions.
I would give him a 8 out of 10
I think he is very competant and has a good bed side manner ,I am now waiting for approvel from insurance. office staff ok but they need to work on personality. when calling to check on approvel they were very cold, not all just a few
I liked Dr. "P" very much. He has a very straight-forward approach in dealing with his patients. He answered all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed or that any of my questions were dumb. I would recommend him to anyone.
As far as the staff-they have been wonderful. Both of the ladies in the office have already had the procedure (RNY), and were very helpful as well.
Steven Poplawski is my surgeon. I was very impressed with him after we met. He took his time and answered all of my and my family's questions. I felt very comfortable with him and that he was a very capable surgeon. He is very professional. I was disappointed that he left the Ypsilanti BTC and was sent to open a new one in Grand Haven. Nobody even called me, I found out accidentally. I did meet with another surgeon in Ypsi, but felt that Dr. P. is the better man for the job. Obviously I was very impressed with him because the other guy was gonna have to be like super-man in order for me to switch D.O.s. So I guess once I do get a surgery date I will be going to Grand Haven and I live in Canton, MI. It's not exactly close. A 3 hour drive.
My first impression was that he would be very up front honest, and have a good bedside manner!
It has satyed the same every time I have met with him he has been very nice and honest!
His Office Staff are very polite and some have had the surgery and give you the oppurtunity to ask them questions first hand!
I like so far his being Up front!
He is a great Doctor and Knows what he is doing!
Very Much he says it is up to me but he will help in reaching my goal!
I believe so
He addressed them on my level and was HOnest!
I would rate him a 11 on a one to ten scale!
Both!!! He is awesome!
He is very professional. I thought he was cold at first. But as time went on, I found him to very caring.
The staff was very good in the office. I found it comforting that they only deal with obese patients. They had empathy. You didn't have to explain yourself.
My aftercare was excellent. The hospital was very supportive and most of the nursing staff have had the surgery. They could understand. I followed the aftercare plan very carefully. My overall rate is very high. I felt I was in very good hands.
I liked Dr. Poplawski at the initial appointment. The only problem I had with him and the staff was that I was not told that he was leaving the center where I was having my surgery and would be moving across the state immediately after my surgery date.He was thorough at the consult and set out all the risks. As a surgeon I would rate him highly, but as for aftercare I have to wait and see another doctor at my six week check. The staff was at BTC was great after I went home and called them four times in the first week. They were helpful and caring and answered all my questions and put my mind at ease.
