I was impressed from the first meeting. He is very straight forward and no subject is taboo. He wants to be sure you know exactly what is in store for you,all the risks, the good and bad of this surgery. He'll answer any questions you have, until you're satisfied, he doesn't care how long it takes, he's there for you! I like everything about him, I totally trust him, literally with my life! rnrnIt is my understanding he used to be chief of surgery for transplants, then started doing wls. rnrnHis office staff and personnel are very friendly and warm, some have had the surgery as well and know just what your feeling. They made me feel very comfortable and not self conscious at all. rnrnThey are very before during and after care oriented, they have a lifetime aftercare, not just a few months then set you free, they are there for you for life! They have a very structured and well thought out pre- and post - op plan, you even receive a 3 ring binder chock full of instructions, food choices for each stage and tons of recipes too. I call it my \"Barix Bible\". rnrnI'd rate Dr. Poplawski and the Barix team a 10 out of 10! Highly recommend! rnrnThey have the surgical competence, bedside manner and personalities needed for this field. rnrnAlthough others may have had a negative experience, mine was nothing but positive. These are only my own impressions and experience, I'd suggest that if in doubt, ease your own mind and do your research! rnrn

I was amazed at the care that I received from the hospital... It was utterly amazing and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!! They were so friendly and awesome!! I have never received care like that ever before!! You guys are the best!!

I FELT THAT DR.POPLAWSKI WAS AWESOME. HE HAS AN UNBELIEVABLE SENSE OF HUMOR AND REALLY MAKES YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE. I FEEL THAT HE EXPLAINS THINGS IN SUCH A WAY THAT MAKES IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND. I ALSO FEEL THAT HE IS UP FRONT AND HONEST ABOUT WHAT TO EXPECT AND IS EAGER TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE.

I love the Barix. I experience severe migraines when I was there and they tried to accommodate me as best as possible and they understood migraines. I love them all. Dr. Poplawski by the way is not only an excellent surgeon, he has excellent bed side manners and true concern for your well being. I love his tips to handle your family and friends and he definitely puts a smile on your face. Thanks Dr. Pop!

I can't say enough good about Barix Clinic. The nursing staff is very caring and helpful. Before, during and post op care are all top notch. The hospital is very clean and easy to find.

The caregivers, from the nursing assistants, R.T., to the RN's and doctors were phenomenal. I felt VERY safe!!
