Barix Clinics - Michigan Hospital
Dr Poplawski, was wonderful. I went for a consult at the Barix facility in Ypsilanti Michigan. My first impression was that I could trust him. His office staff were very friendly and the facility was updated and clean.rnThe doctor explained everything, all pro's and con's. I was very impressed that he was worried about any other issues I may have. He wasn't interested in just getting paid. He has great interest in his patients.rnI felt very comfortable with him and the facility.rnKnowing his background I have great trust in his capabilities.
My first impression of Dr. Pop (during the group portion of initial consult) was that he seemed very competent and straight -forward. After meeting privately with him, I was sure that he was the surgeon for me. He has a nice sense of humor and covered just about any question I had. rnrnI went home and began researching him and Barix Clinics. Both turned up excellent results. He has extensive surgical experience. rnrnPrior to surgery, he was all business. This made me feel confident during a very stressful time. After surgery, he was very positive and still very professional. I felt confident in his surgical skills and medical ability. While he is very personable, he isn't a huggy, sugary-sweet kind of doctor. If that is what you want, then you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you want a surgeon that knows what he is doing, Dr. Pop is your guy! rnrnDue to the great distance between me and Yipsi, I reluctantly had to switch physicians for my post surgical care. Although I am very comfortable with my new doctor, I wish I could have continued the process with Dr. Pop and received his imput on my progress. Thanks, Dr. Pop!!!! I'm feeling great!
My first impression of Dr. Pop is that he scared me, we were a couple of minutes late and when we came into the meeting he said well your late! But it only took a couple of minutes to determine he is very nice. His office staff have all been very nice. So far there is nothing negative he has been very nice and helpful. He was very forthcommiing with the possible complications, did not scare me but made me think. Overall on a scale from one to ten he is so far a ten. I am still preop so I hope he is still a ten after surgery. Both competence and bedside manner are important, if I had to pick just one I would want competency over bed side manner.rnrn
