Barix Clinics - Michigan Hospital
If someone is considering a RNY Gastric Bypass and lives in Michigan, I would highly recommend having Dr. Steven Poplawski be your Batrix physician. He performed my surgery on Oct. 1st and made sure all my pain medications were there if I needed them. He really cares for his patients. Thanks Dr. Pop!
I knew from first impresion he was going to exceed my expectations as a surgeon. He is very professional but also can mix humor with that. It means alot to me when I first meet someone, that they take their profession seriously but can add fun and humor to lighten things up a bit. This surgeon comes highly reccommended by myelf and my family. Truly he is an artist and I feel pretty good 3 days out.
this is the best place that i could have gone to, and if i had to do it again, i'd be at the same place. the staff are truly amazing, from pre op testing (Holly, Lindsay and Janessa) prepping for surgery (Astor) to surgery (Schram) to after care (nurses, too many to name, but Helen was my first nurse who was truly special, and can't forget Janet ... gotta love her laugh! and Katie and Healther and Dawn ... oh there were so many. i had tears in my eyes when i was discharged. i felt like i was leaving some very special people) to even getting back to the hotel ... Janessa and Lindsay drove me back! these people go way and far beyond the call of duty, seriously! but boy am i thankful. you are not aware, but i went through this whole journey on my own. no no visitors, no spouse, no family. no nothing, but the Barix staff came through and took their place. they are so caring it's amazing!
The surgeon I've selected is Dr. Steven Poplawski. I've done lots of research on Dr. Pop (as he likes to be called), and he comes highly recommended. Also, I've spoken directly with one of his past patients, as well as read lots of great reviews on him. In our 1st meeting (May 9, 2008) he was very honest, straight forward, supportive & reassuring. He really believes in what he does, and he genuinely seems to care about his patients too. That being said, while bed-side manner is important, Dr. Pop's track record is what sold me. He's performed over 2,500 gastric bypass surgeries, and he's never had a fatality during or after surgery from complications. As well, he's worked as a trauma surgeon & a transplant surgeon. He's extremely intelligent & well-trained in his field! Dr. Poplawski is the best!!!
I had Dr. Kam for the Lap band. The band has had many problems, so I am looking for Dr. Paplowski to do a revision. Dr. Poplawsi seems to be very kind and caring.rnrnThe office staff is very friendly and efficient. They remember me from previous visits, which I find amazing, since there are so many people who go there.
I first met Dr. DiNick back in January of 2008. I felt very comfortable from the first moment. He was Very knowledgeable and very up front about what he could do for me.
My Surgery was on June 30, 2008 and I couldn't be happier. I have spent many months looking at pictures and talking to patients of not just Dr. DiNick but of other surgeons and I think I found the best Surgeon out there.
My scar is so thin and already fading. Dr.DiNick did an Awesome job giving me the stomach I never thought I could have.
His bedside manner was warm and understanding. He has always done/said just what was needed to offset any fears I might have had.
I recommend Dr.DiNick to all my friends and to all those who's lives I touch through the support/web forums out there for WLS and Reconstructive surgery after Weight Loss.
Any other Plastic surgery I have done will be with Dr. DiNick.
Thanks for giving me even more self confidence!
