Joseph Tintera Dietitian / Nutritionist MA, RDN, CD

Joe is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in bariatrics, weight loss and wellness. He earned his undergraduate degree at Southeast Missouri State University in Nutrition and Dietetics while also pursuing courses in exercise sciences. He completed his dietetic internship and Master’s degree in Health Communications at Fontbonne University in his hometown of Saint Louis, Missouri. During his time as an intern Joe completed various rotations within both surgical weight loss sites and outpatient settings focusing on weight loss and wellness and has since worked in both post-acute rehab and outpatient settings. In these roles Joe has helped patients to manage their health and improve their wellbeing using individualized medical nutrition therapy. While working with patients, Joe believes that education is one of the most powerful tools for affecting positive and lasting lifestyle changes and focuses on empowering patients with education to achieve their goals.
