Dr. Michael Keating, Bariatric Surgeon
Michael Keating, MD is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in bariatric surgery at the MultiCare Center for Weight Loss & Wellness in Covington, WA. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in biology at Carroll College in Helena, Montana and earned his medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He then completed an internship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois where he also completed a general surgery residency. He went on to travel to the University of Texas Southwestern where he fellowship trained in Minimally Invasive/Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Keating’s respected skills have led him to scholarship activities in authoring and presenting on cutting-edge topics including Evolutions in Complex Hernia Repair, Does stoma size matter after gastric bypass?, Difficult Decisions in Bariatric Surgery: An Evidence-Based Approach, and more. He has also taught and lectured on various important topics throughout his medical studies.
Dr. Keating is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
