Robert Aragon Bariatric Surgeon

Dr. Robert Aragon is a board-certified and fellowship-trained laparoscopic weight-loss surgeon. A native of California, Dr. Aragon relocated to the Midwest after he was recruited to join the elite group of surgeons at The Bariatric Center of Kansas City, which he is excited to be a part of. He received his MD degree from the University of Montemorelos. Dr. Aragon then completed a surgical internship and residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California, where he was distinguished with the Teaching Chief Resident Award. During this postgraduate training he was chosen for and completed a specialized surgical research fellowship, involving extensive clinical and lab research. He has participated in numerous research studies and has presented and published his award-winning research nationally. Dr. Aragon went on to complete a dedicated fellowship training program at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California, where he became skilled in minimally-invasive, bariatric, and robotic surgery. Dr. Aragon is truly dedicated to the exciting field of weight loss surgery, whether it be delivering highly-skilled and compassionate care to his patients or performing cutting-edge research. He desires to help patients reach their weight loss goals as a surgeon with great hands and a great heart!
