Stanley Hoehn Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Stanley Hoehn founded The Bariatric Center of Kansas in 2002.  He is the Medical Director of the Weight Loss Surgery Program at Shawnee Mission Health and has been approved as an ASMBS Bariatric Center of Excellence Surgeon since 2006.  Dr. Hoehn developed the idea for our free standing Bariatric Surgical Hospital, and partnered with Shawnee Mission to complete this concept in 2010.   Dr. Hoehn has performed over 5,000 weight loss operations. Dr. Hoehn received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated from medical school at Loma Linda University in Southern California in 1994.  He completed his surgical residency and internship at the University of Kansas in 1999. Dr. Hoehn has been in private practice in the area since the end of his training offering abdominal, advanced laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery since that time.  He transitioned his practice fully to Bariatric Surgery in 2009 and remains committed to outstanding patient care and to leading the highest quality Surgical Weight Loss program in the country.
