S AS I CALL HIM HAS A WONDERFUL BEDSIDE MANNER HE IS A GREAT DOCTOR THOUGH VERY BUSY SO HE DOESN'T HAVE ALLOT OF TIME TO SPEND WITH YOU UNLESS YOU TRULY HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOUR SIDE TILL YOU FEEL 100% ABOUT EVERYTHING. I LOVE HIS OFFICE STAFF IN JACKSON THEY ARE KIND AND CONSIDERATE HIS STAFF IN DETROIT LEAVE ALLOT TO BE DESIRED BUT HEY NOONES PERFECT. I REALLY DON'T CARE FOR HIS AFTERCARE PROGRAM IT SUCKS HONESTLY.OVERALL RATING 95% IF YOU WANT SOMEONE YOU CAN TALK TO FEEL SAFE WITH AND GENERAL GET GOOD SURGICAL CARE GO TO SEE DOC. S HE'S THE BEST.

he just happenned to be on vacation for my first visit but that wasn't a problem,they took very good care of me.

Dr. Schuhknecht struck me aa a real down to earh kind of fellow who didn't pull any punches. Over time I found that to be true and he is a real pleasure to deal with.The staff at CORI bent over backwards to make everything easy for me. A special thanks to Chuckie for all her love and support at CORI.I have nothing negative to say about the entire procedure , I would recommend it to anyone considering gastric bypass.He pushes hard for you to stay agressive with your protien intake and your vitamin supplements.Dr. Schuhknecht wants to be your doctor for life. He wants to see you yearly for as long as you live. Now thats dedication. He explained the risks in great detail and didn't sugar coat anything. He will tell you like it is.I would rate him a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. He was great from start to finish. A great man as well as a great doctor.

Haven't had the opportunity to meet him yet but everyone who has had him as a surgeon says he is great. Will update after my consult to let everyone know if I concur.

Initially, I thought he was a funny nice man. My opinion has since remained the same its just now I really respect him as a skilled physician. He can seem a bit impersonal...maybe even abrupt...but I have nothing but good things to say about him. I felt assured and confident.He thourougly addressed the risks of surgery and step by step informed me of all the possibilities that come with having this surgery.I beleive that his surgical competence is indeed better, however his bedside manner isn't bad.

Ihave not had any negative experiences with him...the hospital itself...is yet another matter!!!

My first impression of Dr. Schuhknecht was that he was very straight forth and approachable. My impression change over time only because it became stronger that I had made the right choice in surgeons. This proceeder is one that he does time and again, and I believe the more you do something the prolific you become. I had complete confidence in him surgically. He was also very honest and would spend any amount of time needed to address all your questions and concerns. I enjoyed his personality and he instills confidence in him self by the way he treats you. I believe he is one of the best at what he does and after your decision is made to have the surgery you can rest assured that you made a good choice in choosing him as your surgeon.

My first impression of Dr. Schuhknecht was he was young and very cute (HAHAA), but I also thought that Melinda was right and that he was the right Doctor for me. He was funny, but very informative, he went thru the whole process and what he would like to see as far as weight loss and keeping it off in the long run. He answered most of my questions and was very open. He lets you know what types of visits you should have pre/post surgery and how many times he wants to see you. When we meet one on one he stated "that I was a very good person for the surgery and there should be no problems with getting in for the surgery". I really liked him and if you are thinking about going thru Cori's and have a very outgoing personality he's the Doctor for you.....Dodie

Great bedside manner. He put me at ease with his knowledge,and sense of humor. I would have to rate him as excellent.

First Impression: He is a real person. Made me feel very comfortable. Tells it like it is. After surgery I feel even more positive about him.

The staff is fine. I was juggled from one person to another a couple times because of staff changes. But those things happen. I was approved by my insurance on the first try.

Dr. Schuhknecht is great. I would recommend him to everybody. I am so glad I chose him.
He emphasizes aftercare and has his own dietician. I can call her anytime.

He has a structured aftercare program. They even have a summer picnic that all are invited to.
He addressed the risks of surgery very well. I was aware of all risks. I would rate him as the best possible choice for a surgeon.

He has both surgical competence and a great bedside manner. He is a very confident surgeon.

He is very intelligent and knows his stuff. He' very humorous and down to earth. He certainly has the expertise in an area I don't. I am honored to have someone of his caliber as my surgeon. His staff has been very helpful and curteous each time I called.
