I really enjoyed having Dr.Neal perform my surgery. He was very professional, yet he also had a great bedside manner. I also love all the staff in his office! They are wonderful and made me feel so completely comfortable.Their office was clean, and well-organized. Karen, the receptionist was so polite and remembered my name. That was something I didn't think medical offices did anymore! Not Dr. Neal's girls! They are a super cool staff who seems more like a family than a medical office!! Michelle is great too. She's been through the sugery herself, so her information is priceless and they are all just so vey helpful. They all went through the risks of surgery and asked me lots times if I had any questions. Out of 10, I'd give Dr. Neal and his girls a 9. He definitely knows what he's doing and so does his staff.

My first impression of Dr Neal was WOW a surgeon that is a \"real\" person. He talked to me not at me. Complimented the information I had gathered for him to work with. He explained everything and even showed me photos of a prior surgery when I was having trouble visualizing something. He went above and beyond any expectations. I feel I have made an excellent choice and that I am in great hands.rnrnHis office staff is equally as nice. The young lady I spent a good deal of time with is banded her self and gave me some good personal insight into how things changed for her and what to expect. She was a great help to me.rnrnThe aftercare is stressed!! There is a structured program but it is also flexible to each individuals needs. If you need a fill you may have a fill. The diet to follow after banding and before the first fill was covered really well.rnrnOverall a great experience. I can't think of anything I was dissapointed with. There were a couple papers that didn't make it in my chart but they were immediatly located and included.rnrnFor me as a question asker and sort of a control freak. I need the combination of great surgical skills and someone I can relate to. Dr Neal fills both those 100%.rnrnAfter a long insurance battle that this office helped with and got through I am finally banded. We did have a bit of a communication break down regarding how able bodied I would be after the procedure but it was not any one's fault. After some quick thinking we found a way to make everything work. rnrnI highly suggest you consider this Surgeon and practice as your choice for Lap Band. I feel you will not be dissapointed. They are all so very wonderful.rn

I met with Dr. Neal on November 19th. He was a very nice man. His office staff is wonderful. How can you not love Peggy. She is so helpful. Michelle is also great. I feel very comfortable with them all. My husband and I have been to two other information seminars on bariatric surgery's, this is the first time that someone actually took the time to site down with us and answer the financial questions that we had one on one. Also, this is the first time someone was so honest about the cost of the surgery. I have my first appointment with Dr. Neal on December 29th. I have been approved for a loan so I will be a self pay. I am so excited about this. I have been researching surgery for 3 years.

I started this process with Dr. Neal's office and loved my experience pre-op as I went to thier informational forum, but I am thorough and so I researched a few other offices as well. Because of cost and the fact that I am a self pay I decided to go to Dr. Fox. However, when you hear the comment that you should not make the decision of who to go with based on cost alone, listen. I went to my pre-op appointment at Dr. Fox's clinic and was shocked at how poorly I was treated, how hard it was to get information and how no one from their office would call me back, not even once. I got the hint and decided to go with my original gut response and go back to Dr. Neal's office. I have never felt so glad to have changed my mind. I was treated with respect and they all have been very responsive. Dr. Neal has a very nice, easy going and informative presence. Peggy is wonderful and very encouraging and they have a true asset in Michelle because she has "real band" knowledge and can answer any questions from a patients perspective. I would definetly recommend this fine group of people to anyone.
Some important advise I can share with anyone researching this option is to feel comfortable with the staff (all the staff, not just the surgeon) at the clinic you choose because you will be dealing with them for a very long time. Remember that this is your body you are about to change and a clinic that offers a lower cost option may not be able to offer you as good of care as a smaller more personal clinic. And lastly, although the number of lap-band surgeries performed is important, pay attention to a surgeons backgroung with other types of laperoscopic surgery too. After all the lap-band is fairly new and the playing field is fairly even. I would rather have a surgeon with many years of laperscopic surgery of any kind over a surgeon who has only 3 years of lap-band laperscopic. Anyway, have fun and definetely check out Dr. Neal and staff. They are wonderful.

Dr. Neal is a very caring physician. He answered all my questions without me feeling stupid, and I didn't feel rushed to leave. His office staff seem extremely caring and organized and again, I never felt rushed during my frequent phone calls. I spoke often to Peggy and Michelle ( who is a post op successful lapband patient herself). They both lead 2 monthly support groups which have helped me immensely preoperatively. I highly recommend Dr. Neal and his team!

Dr Neal and his staff are wonderful! They do not make you feel be-littled because of your weight condition. They are all so easy to talk to. The staff is so informative. You can call the office at anytime without getting the feeling that you are bothering the staff. Dr Neal makes sure that every time the he sees you he askes if you have any questions,or problems. I like this because you certainly DO NOT feel like the surgery had been done, and paid for, so now the Dr. does not care. This is NOT true of this Dr.Neal or his staff they ALL truely care about the out come of every patient from the initial consultation until the end. Peggy, his office manager takes the time to do our support group meetings, she is a like good friend to every one who attends the support group meetings. Michelle having gone through this procedure herself, is always willing to take as much time as you want to answer any questions that you might have. I would recommend this Dr. and Staff to anyone who wants excellent care, and is concidering this surgery. Good Luck!
