William Johnson Bariatric Surgeon M.D.
I researched every Bariatric program in Georgia. When I walked into the seminar and met LaTonya and Cyndi, I just had a great feeling about them. When Dr. Johnson talked to the group, he was so personable, so knowledgeable and available after to speak to anyone who had private questions.
My 1st consult pretty much the same impression. staff has been phenomenal in getting everything set up so quickly. I had initially chosen the Sleeve and then decided to go with RNY. Then found out I have a hernia that needs repair; Dr. Johnson said he is happy I had changed because I will do much better with RNY. I haven't had my surgery yet, but at less than 56 hours to go, I'm excited but not nervous. I trust Dr. Johnson and his staff completely. The staff at Johns Creek Hospital also fantastic and I think it will be a positive experience!

Dr. Johnson is absolute fabulous...as is the staff at Atlanta Bariatrics. They were patient and kind to me, very helpful and efficient. They knew the time crunch I was on because I was changing jobs and worked with me to get approved as quickly as possible so my surgery could be scheduled. I went to three different seminars for three different surgeons before going with this clinic. I read reviews...I did my research. Everything, and I mean everything went so smoothly. I went to the seminar which was given by Dr. Johnson on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, and just had my surgery on Thursday, March 29, 2012 (Laparoscopic Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass).
When I decided to have the RnY WLS I asked for surgeon recommendation from the friends I knew that had the surgery before. I went to two seminars. The first one was in Decatur, very crowded and affliated with Dekalb Medical Center. The second was at Northside/Forsyth with Dr. Johnson. The seminars were the same and everyone loves their doctor. So in the end, my decision was ultimately determined by the staff and the facility. Dr. Johnsons's staff and Northside Hospital are far superior to the other options.
The best recommendation I can give Dr. Johnson comes from the result. My surgery went wonderfully and I have not had any complications. The only way I can tell I've had surgery at all is from the weight loss and my body's reaction to sugar! I highly recommend Dr. Johnson.

I first met Dr. Johnson at an informational seminal on 9/26/11. I also met nurse Paula and Patient Advocate Susie that night. I had been thinking about having this surgery for years, but kept on telling myself that I could lose the weight on my own: big denial. Although Dr. Johnson does look very young, I read reviews and listened to others who were at the seminar who had surgery done by him, and gave him glowing reviews. I then scheduled a first office visit with Dr. Johnson and he was very down to earth and point-blank about the relationship between health and weight. I decided that I had nothing to lose except weight, and actually had surgery a couple of days ago on 12/05/11. Although Dr. Johnson is in high demand a busy surgeon, he provided one-on-one time to address any concerns I had, any fears, and called me after surgery after I felt something may not have been right at home. I would recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone that wants a Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery.

I didn't meet Dr. Johnson until the first office visit. During the initial seminar, I met his colleague from the same office. I was amazed at Dr. Johnson's youthful appearance. I like how the office assistant, Susie, followed up on many, many details.
I am glad that they submitted the paperwork to get the procedure that I wanted to the insurance company. It was approved on less than 4 days.
So far, I love the aftercare program and have no complaints. Glad I had the surgery done and I refuse to look back. Honestly, I had no negative experience.
He rates very high on my scale and he answered all my questions from the start.
