I have my consult with Dr Lamar on Tuesday September 11th! I cant wait and I will update this after I meet him.rnrnOk, I met the surgeon today and wow, he is so nice and I can not wait to see him again because that will be the day of my SURGERY!rnrnI would also like to add that the entire office was amazing! I called alot and they were always so nice!!! And the Coordinator Linda was an absolute blessing, what a sweet lady!

I had a very good experience with Dr. LaMar and his team. They were very thorough and I was able to have my surgery within 6-8 weeks of my first visit.

I met with Dr. LaMar recently and my first impression was that he seemed nice. He was ready to share all the information with me and he spent a lot of time with me, I didn't feel rushed. His office staff is outstanding. Everyone made me feel comfortable and Heidi did a great job explaining things to me. Dr. LaMar gave me all the risks and percentages of risks. He was extrememly honest which I loved. I will be able to add to this once I have a date and have the surgery.rn9-2-07...Well just wanted to add that I think Dr. LaMar is awesome!! He has an excellent bedside manner and really cares about his patients. I had a hernia in January and he wasted no time getting this matter fixed and he is welcoming to your calls when you have questions. So is Pat the nurse in his office!!! I am grateful to this team!!!

He is non judgemental he is patient and understanding a friendly man I liked him from the start he has a very busy office but everyone works as a team he has a dietician in his office as well as his insurance person that all work together I love these people. Dr Lamar is easy to talk to and communicates well with family.I would tell anyone to go see him for a consultation I have complete trust in him and after having a Dr that did not care for 2 years this is great.

Dr. Lamar is FABULOUS!! He has given me a brand new life and I thank him from the bottom of my heart!!!

I have a good general impression of him. To be honest I really didn't see or talk to him all that much, I would have like a little more of that. Otherwise, his staff was WONDERFUL and everything seems to have went smoothly so it seems like he did a great job. :) ....oh and I wanted to add....my scars are Teeny TINY....I LOVE THAT!

First impression is he is very knowledgeable calm and answers your questions. Everybody in the office have been very nice and helpful. Their office as well as the hospital are designated as a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE.rn surgery is on 02/21/07 to be continued.

He is an absolute sweet man. At first site you are taken by his height, he is very tall. But he is a very patient, compassionate and understanding doctor. He examines you very profoundly. He diagnosed me with a murmur and although I had one as a baby no other doctor had ever mentioned it again in all of my 25 years, until Dr. Lamar. He is also very thorough and wants to make sure that his patients know everything there is to know. Then there is his staff which I absolutely adore, they are very caring and accomodating, they are absolutely the best. I have never met such a great staff. Linda the Bariatric Coordinator is just wonderful as well. She would go to great lengths to accomodate you and make sure you are doing great. I have to say this is the best medical staff I have ever encountered. There isnt a number high enough to rate them.

My first impression of Dr LaMar, as with most people who see him, is that he is very tall and skinny. But after meeting him, I realized what a nice and personal guy he was. He had performed surgery on two other people I knew so I was very confident in him. I would recommend him and his team to anyone considering WLS.

My first impression of Dr. LaMar was a good one. He is very tall and soft spoken. He came across as very confident. He does not automatically jump out as being extremely personable, but over time I have enjoyed his encouraging words and smiles. His office staff is pleasant, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes before being brought inside. Heidi, the insurance coordinator, is knowledgeable and helpful and I did not feel in any way that I was ever being brushed aside, or that any question was too dumb. I would very much suggest using Dr. LaMar for gastric bypass surgery.
