Dr. Boss was very professional and friendly. My surgery is actually just a few days away August 6, 2004. His office secretary Tammy is just excellent. From the first time I spoke with her she has always been just as friendly and helpful as ever she is just a beautiful person inside & out.
Anyone looking for a professional,
competent, friendly, or caring surgeon and staff,Dr. Thad Boss at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. is worth checking into.
Prior to surgery they help you out with support groups,and Dr. Boss is very adamant
about aftercare. And has a very structured program from beginning to end. They are always open for any and every kind of question. During the initial informational meeting he addressed everything from the
pros to the cons of the surgery and severe risks how the surgery is performed & etc it
lasted over an hour he is very open and honest.
Overall I would rate Dr. Boss right now as a 8 and I haven't even had the surgery yet
that's why it's an 8.
But I will keep you posted and will
continue to be upfront and honest with you as possible because that is how I would like someone to be with me. No person or
situation is perfect but the real test will be after surgery and I will keep you informed about how everything else goes. Everything so far has been great so I feel lucky,I just continue to pray that everything else will be the same. These are my own personal feelings and opinions and I can not say what may happen with anyone else. I can only tell you about me. So good luck and God Bless You.
Hopefully everything will go through with the insurance by Aug 6, 2004 and I will be able to have the surgery but either way I will keep you posted.
I got to meet Dr. Boss for the first time today. He is just fantastic. He is very down to earth. Was very patient and listen to all I had to say and answered all my questions.
Tammy is such a gem. She helped me out so much. She was very on top of everything. She even called me in Canada to let me know I was approved.
Dr. Boss is the most wonderful doctor. I would recommend him to everyone. He did such a wonderful job on my surgery.
DR BOSS WAS VERY INFORMATIVE & REALLY NICE & MY OPINION HAS NOT CHANGED.
HIS OFFICE STAFF IS GREAT.
I WAS GIVEN PAPERS ON WHAT I COULD "EAT" & ASLO ON WHAT I WAS ALLOWED TO DO FOR THAT FIRST WEEK.
YES HE DID ADDRESS THE RISKS OF SURGERY
BOTH ARE GREAT, BUT I DIDN'T SEE HIM THAT MUSH MOSTLY RESIDENTS & NURSES
Dr. Boss was wonderful. He had a great bedside manner. I felt very comfortable with him.
Because I ran into numerous problems with my surgery, he was always there for me. He has personally called to check up on me and continues to make me feel great!
The office staff is great, they are quick to respond to any question or problem that you may have. They are helpful and knowledgeable.
I would rate this whole experience a 10!
Dr. Boss was great!! He is very down to earth. I felt alittle uncomfortable with my first Dr. so I asked to switch to Dr. Boss. Immediately after meeting with him I felt very comfortable.
His receptionist is Kim and she is absolutely great!!
Currently Dr. Boss is only preforming open RNY due to being a newby to the hospital. Dr. Boss said right off that he would be there for me through it all! He expects me to follow his advice and guidance.
Dr. Boss follows a few dirrerent aftercare programs, basically week one is liquids, weeks 2-5 are purees and then adding soft solids and food to diet one new food a day.
He told me out right the risks as well as the advantages. A++++++ Both surgical competence and bed side manners make an excellent combination for a surgeon.
