Tananchai Lucktong Bariatric Surgeon M.D.
Dr Lucktong and his staff have been wonderful to work with. I had no trouble at all.. rnrnHis staff has been great, and any time I have a question I just email them and they respond usually the same day. rnrnDr. Lucktong is quiet, but very informative and is selective about the patients he feels qualifies for the wls surgery. He also specializes in laporascopic. rnrnI enjoyed all of my visits and how educated his staff is regarding the bariatric surgeries and I would definitely recommend him.
My husband and I really liked Dr. Lucktong, he explained everything including all the risks of being obese and all the risks of the surgery. We met in a group setting but there was only one other person. After that we met with him one on one. I really think I made a really good choice. I really enjoyed my consultation but hubby was tired...lol. It was long but well worth it too. I liked Dr. Lucktongs staff as well. Everyone was very nice and they took really good care of us. Dr. Lucktong is going to have me do a sleep study, I was borderline but I am really impressed that he is going to do this. I was actually hoping he would. I am very impressed and really feel like I made an excellant choice.
My husband and I were both impressed by Dr. Lucktong on our initial visit. I have a tendency to be intimidated by doctors but found him to be approachable. He answered our questions completely and even added to them. We liked how he was very candid with us and was able to tell us how many of his 250+ patients had which complications (complication rates were VERY low). He also went on to tell us about the one death he had during surgery and how steps have been taken since to reduce the risk of it happening again. Dr. Lucktong stated that he believes in this surgery (for the right people), and if he didn't there are many other areas he could have focused on. He does have a long waiting list for his services, but he states that he keeps his new patients limited so he can give everyone the attention needed. He does have have a structured aftercare program and requests strongly his patients attend the support group. Overall, I was impressed. The only recommendation I would make is a more through workbook/text for patients rather than the folder I received.
Dr. Lucktong was wonderful! He listened to all that I had to say and didn't rush in and out but heard me and my concerns. My impression of him was that he was so nice and caring. Still yet when I see him he asks how I am and hows the family like the results of the surgery and so on, he's so down to earth and cares for his patients. The office staff is very caring and they really try to make you feel comfortable and help out with any questions that you may have. If you are a future patient you should not be afraid of sharing your thoughts and concerns with him, ask him any question because he told me the only dumb question is the one that is not ask. He is very professional and very friendly as well, he came in often to check on me at the hospital and made sure that I had whatever I needed after surgery. He did go over in great detail the surgery the risks as well as the benefits. I would give him from 1-100 a 150! He was just overall a great person to get to know and have as a physician. Dr. L. had a great bedside manor as well as being good and experienced at what he does (we checked him out first) and I am so thankful to him for all his help with me personally. The day oif my surgery I prayed, "Lord if this is wrong in what I'm doing then you please show me a sign that this is not for me, let me have a fever or something that would postpone the surgery". And for me everything went fine and I prayed before I was put to sleep that this was undoubtfully meant for me to do and I thanked the Him (the Lord) for leading me to Dr. L. and his staff. This is some of MY personal feelings. There may be others who don't care for him and his way of doing things but for myself and my family he has been wonderful! And as for any surgery you should ALWAYS research it before you do it because there are always things that could go wrong so be sure to weigh it out before you do it and be sure to PRAY that this is what the Lord would have you to do.
dr. lucktong is very professional, knowledgeable, & tells it like it is.i feel very comfortable with him. his staff is very friendly. if i have any questions they are available to help. i didn't have any problems with his office getting approval from my insurance co. (anthem blue cross blue shield).
I was worried when I first had a consultation with Dr Lucktong, because the nurses in his office are so unfriendly. I had spoken to them on the phone and encountered them when I went into my appointment, and I am very disappointed that they are so curt and just this side of mean. So, when I actually met Dr Lucktong I was quite relieved. He is a very nice man, was very thorough in his explanations of the surgery and was able to answer all my questions without hesitation. He also has a good sense of humor and managed to live through my embarassing him. (we won't say what I did) I feel very confident in his abilities. I have a preop appointment the 24th of August I will update if there are changes.
