Dr Holover was so patient and nice. He explained everything very thoroughly and carefully. The followups were very informative!
Dr Holover did his part! He gave me the tool I need to lose the weight and with is support and guidance I was able to lose a great deal of weight! Life before surgery was not good. I couldnt dress the way I wanted to dress and I was generally unhappy. After surgery, I am a happier person and I am working hard towards my goals everyday!! so happy i did this!

I've already lost 40lbs! My surgery was less than a year ago! I have so much more energy. I feel like I have been given a new body! I'm so much happier now after losing the weight. I am 56 years old was 310lbs It was like i moved in slow motion. I was not happy with myself. Now i have more energy and looking forward to my future. I had a great experience with Dr Holover of the New York Bariatric Group. Dr Holover was very professional and easy to talk to but especially was VERY encouraging!
I had lap band surgery in August '09 and I was very pleased with the whole process and especially with Dr. Holover. He is very pleasant and has a great bedside manner, putting you at ease before surgery. After surgery I had some difficulty eating pureed food once I got home, but Dr. Holover was able to take care of it immediately in his office.
His office has a very well structured before and after surgery program to be sure you are completely prepared for the surgery and the changes that you will have to make. The monthly visits are very helpful to assist you in making the necessary lifestyle changes.
He and his staff are excellent - very attentive to your needs and I recommend him completely. His physician's assistant, Donna Franco is also excellent. I usually meet with her for the monthly visits and I'm very impressed with her ability and bedside manner as well. Dr. Holover is available to address any concerns that I might have during these monthly visits.
I have lost 130 lbs. and am only 5 lbs. from my goal weight. I haven't been this thin since my 20's! I can't thank Dr. Holover enough for my new lease on life. My blood pressure and cholesterol are down and much of my medication is being reduced or eliminated.
I recommend anyone with obesity issues to have lap band surgery with Dr. Holover.
Dr. Holover, Dr. Garber, Donna, and the whole staff are amazing, inspiring, and truly care about every person who walks through their door. I feel very lucky to have found them so easily. The whole weight loss surgery process has been very smooth and the continued support helps me on the days when I feel frustrated. I send them all mental hugs on a daily basis for helping me get my health back.
