My first impression of Dr Ikramuddin was that he seems to really want to help his patients attain their goal. He is very soft spoken, and does a great job putting people at ease. He didn't seem to mind answering *any* questions, and incorporates some well needed humor at just the right moments.

His office staff was just fine. I was aware of the potential for caos, but my session didn't encounter any of that. Perhaps I was already prepared for the worst.

Dr Ikramuddin truthfully addresses the risks of surgery. He even stated he wasn't trying to scare anyone, but felt that everyone needed to know what they would be getting themselves into.

At this point in time,(and I don't expect my opion or experience to change)I would give Dr Ikramuddin and his staff a great overall rating.

Dr. Ikrmuddin is a wonderful man and surgeon. He is ranked 3rd in the nation at what he does. He really knows what he is doing, and he wants to make sure you know what he is doing. His office is getting better, since he is knew to the twin cities he has new help. And it takes time for everyone to learn.

I had my informational meeting with Dr. Ikrammudin in March 28. Everything I have heard about him so far is right! He is really wonderful! His PA Donna is wonderful also. Danette, one of the secretary's was horribly rude and inconsiderate, I have never been treated so rudely by physicians staff in my entire life, but that was just my experience it may not be like that for everyone. The rest of his staff was very pleasant especially his dietitian Leah!
He emphasizes aftercare strongly and they do have a support group.
Dr. Ikrammudin did a very thorough job addressing all of the risks of the surgery. I would rate him an 11 on a scale of 1-10... he was just wonderful! I think surgical competence is of extreme importance, but I also firmly believe that bedside manner is just as important and I strongly believe that Dr. Ikramuddin has both!

He was kind, understanding, informative and skilled. His staff was very supportive but he had so many patients, the wait was long at follow-up appointments. He has left the Pittsburgh area to accept another assignment and now his associates are seeing his patients. I like them too, but I miss him.

What a great guy!! He treated me with alot of respect. I told him that I did alot of research and he treated me as such. I think I picked the very best of all the doctors that I talked to. Oh yeh, he practices in Minneapolis MN now!!! The one bad thing that I will say is that his staff takes along time to do anything. Although he is easy to schedule appts with and easy to get a surgery date with-His staff is slow with all of the follow through-such as sending information to the insurance company. But overall both his staff and him are wonderful. I would recommond him to all of my friends. I love his Physician's Assistant Donna!!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about my first meeting with Dr. Ikramuddin. He was warm, genuine and open...especially impressive after what must have been a busy day!He has a wonderfully thorough pre-operative agenda which suprised me.
Although I feel competency is more important than bedside manor, I feel SO lucky to have both!

Due to the mix up with the refferal, I went to a seminar with Dr Henry Buchwald when I actually will be having the surgery with Dr Sayeed Ikrammudin laporascopically. The office staff was wonderful trying to assist me with straightening out the confusion. I guess the biggest suggestion that I have also being employed in health care, is to really take charge of your own experience. I was in contact with the obesity clinic as well as with my insurance company. It was through this that I found out that my original clinic had me refferred to the wrong doctor. That my insurance company hadn't recieved the paperwork from my husband's employer and we weren't even registered as members. I think had I not taken charge that I would have probably been stuck in a paperwork shuffle and my surgery could have been delayed. (The first delay...finding out I was pregnant with my son!)

I am not certain if this is the same Dr Ikramuddin that is practicing in MN

My first impression of him wad that he truly cares aboput each of us, although he was rushed he took the time to answer all of our questions. His staff met with us and seemed very competent. He has done this surgery over 1000 times so I have every confidence in him

I first met Dr. Ikramuddin at the info seminar/consult and thought he had a good sense of humor and was very personable. The office staff seems very busy and not overly friendly. They seem so rushed when i've called with questions and were not good at getting back to me. Future patients should know that he pioneered this surgery at the U of PA and has performed it over 875 times, successfully, I might add. He emphasizes aftercare extensively. He also has a great structured program and has already developed a support group in just the few short months he's been here. I would rate him at an 8-9 overall. Now that my surgery is over, I would like to add that Dr. Ikramuddin did a wonderful job. He was on time and everything went great.
