I chose Dr Sanchez because he has done over 5,000 surgeries thus far and he was one of the cheapest that I could find being a self payee. I didn't meet Dr til about 30 minutes before my surgery, but I felt total confidence in this man, I put it all in Gods hands and he took care of me. Dr. Sanchez was a very caring, understanding, and professional, the only regret that I have is that he being in Mexico makes it to far for me to travel for my fills, but that was something I knew when I went to him. Praise the lord I have had NO complications, but I am only 1 week post op, but I feel as though if there was a problem Dr Sanchez would be there for me helping in any way.
Dr. Sanchez is a very nice and caring man. He has a nice sense of humor and know how to make you feel comfortable. Although i had my surgery done in Mexico, he spoke nearly perfect English. No communication problems whatsoever. His staff also speak English remarkably well.
There is always somebody available, whether it's Dr. Sanchez, or one of his staff. They answer most questions before they're asked!
Dr. Sanchez doesn't require you to return to him for aftercare, although it's always an option if you can afford to go down there often. He and his staff give very thorough aftercare instructions, both verbally and in writing.
His surgical competence is superb (just look at his credentials) and his bedside manner was unsurpassed. I highly recommend this surgeon!
Dr Sanchez is wonderful, caring, professional man I made a great choice going to this awsome man and with Monterry Mexico.
His staff the hospital the transportation the city everything is great.Anyone who needs to travel to Mexico to have your lapband placed Dr Sanchez is the right man for that I can not complain one bit I have been treated like I have traveled to a resort and have been waited on when ever I needed any assitance the ladies at the hospital were very attentive to my needs when ever I called on them.Dr Sanchez has some aftercare instructions and you can come to him for your medical needs and fills.I rate Dr Sanchez with the highest ranking he was just that terrific.
his staff through their clinic website/phone /emails have been wonderful. Have not met with Dr. yet though his reputation/success rate are excellant. Everyone has been very helpful in expaining each step, helping me with all the paperwork, travel arrangements and in just making me feel as comfortable as possible and as prepared as possible about the journey I am soon beginning.
Now I am 3 weeks post op and its time to share about my surgeon Dr. Rodolfo Sanchez. He was wonderful, a teddy bear of a man who gives great hugs, as do all of his staff. He explained things well, answered my questions and came to see me several times while in the hospital. Dr. Kenya, his assistant is a doll. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.
I arrived in Monterrey with my friend Tyanna on Jan, 7th. My surgery was scheduled for the 8th. However there was an opening the evening of the 7th, so I took it. When we arrived at the airport Sergio picked us up and took us to the Guesthouse. He spoke perfect english and was very polite. At the guesthouse in Garza Garcia, we met the American liason; Alma. She is a wonderful woman, who made us feel very welcome, confident, and secure during our stay. She stayed with me util I went into pre-op. Then I met the Anasthesiologist who had a good sense of humor. The hospital was beautiful! When I woke up in recovery, I had minimal discomfort. My friend Tyanna got to stay with me over night in my private room (that had a DVD player:) Whenever I pushed the nurses call button, someone was in my room within seconds. Even though the nurses at the hospital didn't speek English, they knew exactley what I needed. And they were very nice and gentle. The next day we returned to the guest house. I felt great!!! Very little discomfort. We even went to the mall. The guest house is also stocked with broth, juice, water, ect... It was very comfortable. Alma even took us out for little sight seeing. The whole experience was absolutley wonderful. A definate 10!! For all those people who told me I was CRAZY for going to Mexico; " I recieved better care there than anyone I know in the USA!!"
Dr Sanchez appeared warm. I only met with him for 3 minutes prior to surgery. I was told I would have a "consult" with him. My consult was in the elevator on my way to be preped for surgery. My impression did not change over time of him.
His office staff was warm and helpful, although they did not follow through with things very well.
Future patients should do their homework on the proceedure because they are not going to get it from Dr. Sanchez or his office staff. I recieved a 60 second explination of the proceedure from a staff member.
After care is given on a sheet of paper.
The risks of surgery were never addressed by Dr. Sanchez. His staff answered questions for me, but I had to be specific in the questions.
I believe Dr. Sanchez to be a very competent surgeon based on my own homework and that is why I selected him. He is very busy and does not have time for "small talk" or any talk for that matter, lol.
I liked him and I especially liked the anestesioligist he works with.
I would use him again.
