Dr Bauman was very professional. He assure me that things would be okay. His staff are great to work with on everything. The aftercare program will go on for 1 year following surgery. We watched a video of the whole procedure and then were able to ask questions. My experience so far with Dr Bauman and his staff have been good.

He's very nice, very up front about what this surgery involves, what your choices are for surgery, and that it is your decision. I met him first a couple of years ago and my impression has not changed about him. His office staff is very nice, very well educated about this whole process and your requirements. His waiting room is very comfortable, and seats are large to accommodate obese patients -- a nice touch! A lot of emphasis is placed on the importance of lifelong lifestyle choices that have to be made for this WLS to be successful. There is a lot of postop care required by him, and that is stressed at your first presurgical consult. Risks of surgery are plainly stated over and over again, each time death being one of the risks stated. I would rate him a 10 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best. I think he is both competent surgically and has a good bedside manner with patients. Now ... don't ask me as a nurse how I feel, because my opinion of surgeons in general is not real high on that side of things (just a hazard of the job...lol). Since I have worked for the hospital he practices at and know several nurses on that unit, I know he can be a bit uptight. But since he has a zero mortality rate, I don't mind him being uptight with nursing staff and keeping his patients safe.

Dr Bauman has been wonderful throughout this process. He doesn't mince words and makes sure you are fully informed of your decision. I highly recommend Dr. Bauman. Dr. Bauman has a new partner and I really like Dr. Parillo. I was recently in the hospital having pain. The systems were unusual and both Doctors took there time to try and fingure out what was wrong. As a matter of last resort they did surgery and found the problem which was unrelated to WLS. I appreciate the fact that surgery was their choose of last resort.

Met with Dr. Kemmeter on Jan. 19, 2004. He was very kind and answered all my questions throughly. My first impression of him was, \"Oh my gosh is he young!!\" A nurse at MMPC told me before I met with him that if she had to choose which doctor to perform the surgery on her she would pick Dr. Kemmeter. That made me feel a lot better. I originally thought I would be seeing Dr. James Foote.rnrnI am hoping to get an apt. with Dr. Bauman. I just filled out the registration on his website.

I have met with Dr. Bauman one time so far. I found him to be very direct and to the point. Dr. Bauman described the pros and cons of a couple different surgeries they can do. We talked in some detail about a hernia I will have repaired along with this surgery. Dr. Bauman's staff are very good as well. I have emailed Dr.Bauman on two occasions and both times he has replied within two days. Outstanding in my book. I made my last visit to Dr. Bauman on Dec.23 to write orders for the surgery. My thoughts at this point are that Dr. Bauman and the entire staff are top notch and have me as their main concern. I feel that Dr. Bauman is dedicated to his patients. I look forward to working with him throughout the entire journey. God has blessed him. Now that I have had my surgery, my respect for Dr. Bauman has grown even more. He always give you all the the details of what he is going to do. Then going over everything he did do. One thing I noticed about him in the hospital is that he is very nice and thanks giving to the nurses at the hospital. He thank all the nurses that worked in my room as he would asked thm to do things and he would ask...he always thanked every one of them by name. They were all very respectful of him and liked dealing with him. Aftercare is very high for him. It was very important that when he was ready and I was ready, that he could turn me over to my PCP. My PCP had to be knowledgeable of aftercare for someone who has had this surgery. Dr. Bauman competence and bedside manner are out standing. I have told so many people about him already. He is a 15 in a 1-10 rating. Dr. Bauman is a God send to the medical world and to those of us that need help with our obesity problem. rnIf you are looking for a superior surgion, Dr. Roc Bauman is your man, for this type of surgery.rn

He looks a little like Robert Redford. Pretty good looking guy.rnHe still looks like him. Really, though he was a very serious focused Dr. He knows his stuff. I found him to be a very caring warm person that has a love for his work. He makes you feel like you are his only patient. He is very particular about his patients care and he lets the nurses know it. If I had to rate him, I'd give him an A+. Dr. Bauman is the best in the field. I'd recommend to anyone seeking the best in Bariatric care.

I feel as though I have hit the jackpot with my surgeon. He is patient, kind, takes an enormous amount of time answering all my questions. and he provided me with both the positive and negative aspects of surgery and what I could expect. He has been thorough in my pre-op tests and suggested additional tests that have eased both our minds about how to best manage my care pre- and post-operatively. I really couldn't ask for anyone better.rnrnHis entire staff has been nothing but oustanding!

I had my surgery on 6/26/01. I found Dr. Bauman to be very thorough in his approach to post surgery care. He's very emphatic on the patient's responsibility in aftercare and he will check up to make sure you're doing your part. Overall....I'd rate him highly.

My first impression is this guy means what he says and is serious. Good I do not want a doctor who plays around. He is to the point and does everything to make sure you know what you are about to get into. Before he show you personal interest he seems to be standoffish. But, as you are his paitient and se him with improvments and are doing what he asks of you \"why would you not\" He seems to get more laid back and friendly. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HIS STAFF!!!! They are the sweetest and thoughtful bunch I have ever delt with! They truley care about you as an individual! And that is important. They always so nice to me and to my family! You should know!!!!!!!!> To listen and learn as much as possiable and to take his word to do what he says and not to just go out and bindge. His passion for this surgery and his thoughts are good as gold and do what the staff and he tells you too. Aftercare is great you see a nutrtioalist, trainer, and him and his staff for a life long visits......... The aftercare is great and should be taken very seriously. He goes over with you the risks of the surgery in many different ways. Video, email, staff, paper work all informing you of all risks as well as benifits.... I would give him a 100 out of 100. If you are looking for someone who is deticated to this surgery and know the ins and outs..........you got this with him and his staff!
