Dr. Bauman seems very competent. He is thorough and he is experienced with revision surgeries. He is willing to help you and not lead you on like he can help but then tells you he can't help you.

Dr. Bauman seems to be a very straight forward Doc. I hear that he is the best to have so Im excited about my upcoming surgery and I know I will be well taken care of.

Very knowledgeablernStaff was very helpful and understandingrnHe has a video he made of the history of the surgery and all the types that led to the one they use. It's very details and he is not the most charismatic speaker. The information was valuable.rnAfter care is 12 months with a nutritionist.rnHe also offer the Fobey ring which assists in keeping the weight off. This is the main reason I chose him over others.rnI would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Bauman is simply the best! He immediatley made me fee comfortable about my decision to have WLS. I had talked about having the surgery for four years before coming to Dr. Bauman. He answered all of my questions very honestly. He made me aware of possible complications. My recovery went very well. I had no problems at all. He is very professional and all of his office staff are great. I live an hour away from his office but I am very happy I made the decision to drive that far. I would recommend Dr. Bauman to anyone that is considering this surgery. I am seven months post op and I have my lfe back!

I had heard he was a \"no nonsense\" person but I really liked him. I thought his personality was exactly what I was looking for. He made sure I understand every aspect of what I'd be going through.

I had my first visit with Dr. Bauman today. I found him very professional, knowledgeable and straightforward. His staff was also very professional and informative and seemed to be genuine when they said they were available for any questions I might come up with. The program Dr. Bauman and his associate have created seems to be very thorough with before AND after care. If you're not going to be totally comitted I think they'd pick up on that attitude and wouldn't hesitate to deny you the surgery. They are very serious about what they do. Dr. Bauman personally recorded a video where he addresses the risks of bariatric surgery as the very first topic to make sure you realize that you must not make a quick or uneducated decision to go through with this surgery. I feel extremely confident that he has his patients' best interests at heart and truly wants to be a part of improving your health AND well-being.

Dr. Bauman is very strict and thorough. He does not take this lightly. He really cares and seems to have a love for his work. He also has a great sense of humor. I feel completely comfortable with my choice to drive 2 hours and see him.

I had my initial consultation with Dr. Bauman today and was truly impressed with everything about him and his practice. He was very informative and I could clearly tell that his patients are top priority, from start to finish. His staff as well was polite and very helpful. They cover everything. If you have unanswered questions when you leave, it is your fault. I did not feel rushed. I felt like I was the only person he had on the books. I liked everything about him. He is very compassionate about WLS. No question about that. Aftercare is, and should be, one of the most emphasized aspects of WLS and Dr. Bauman (& Dr. Pirello) make no bones about letting you know what they expect. I went to the LapBand seminar on 2/7 and Dr. Pirello held the meeting. It was very informative and I would recommend it to anyone desiring WLS. Risks of surgery were covered and explained. I would rate him a 15 on a scale of 1-10. That is how impressed I was with all aspects of my initial consultation, from start to finish. Very knowledgable physicians and very helpful and caring staff...I would recommend him to anyone..Best on the East Coast..and I cannot wait until I get my surgery date...
