At my first meeting with Dr. Bell I felt immediately comfortable with him and felt that he really cares about his patients and truly enjoys his work. I felt he was very confident and knew what he was doing without being cocky. My first impressions did not change after surgery, he has a warm bedside manner and I really could not say enough good things about him. I could not imagine having this surgery done by anyone other than Dr. Bell and would highly recommend him to anyone else considering weight loss surgery.

I met Doctor's Bell and Duffy and I was truly amazed. Not only were they patient and understanding but very cute. hehehehe...
They answered all my questions and offered a very understandable techical approach to the surgery's ups and downs. Both were extremely thorough in there aftercare procedure information as well. They left nothing to be desired. The office staff, Linda the nurse and both liz and Maureen were all very kind and gentle and even humorous as times making the visit quite comfortable. They deminished any nervousness I had anticipated immediately.
Dr's Bell and Duffy explained all the risks and benifits of the surgery. I am thrilled to have either one of them performing my surgery. I feel confident and reasured that I am in good hands and will have a safe recovery.

First impression- He knows what hes talking about?
Impression remained the same over time.
His office staff is strict and not as pleasant as I would expect they should be.
I havent decided what I like least about Dr.Bell.
Dr.Bell is a stickler, follow his guidelines specifically if you want maximum results.
He highly emphasizes aftercare.
The program is geared toward a general, and then gradually personal aftercare plan.
He was very open and honest about the risk of surgery. (Blunt if you will.)
At this point, overall I would rate him a 7, because I haven't had my surgery yet, and I'm tired of waiting for my life change, like a kid in a candy store, "I want it now!"
Both.

I met my doctor when my best friend was going to have her surgery some three years ago. I thought he was very imformative about the whole procedure. His staff is very nice and kind, they did all the paper work for my insurance and was helpful in every question I could have had.
I did not like his attitude when I returned to him two months post-op when I could not continue to excerise due to a knee injury that hurt too much to walk.
He seem to be bothered about it, and after getting all upset at me, became kinder and stressed the importance of excerise.
He's ok.
In my opinion, I think both are very important, they come hand in hand. A doctor not only should be competent but also have good beside manners, or he will loose his patients.

My first impression of Dr. Bell was he was very nice and informative. He seemed like he enjoyed his job of making people that are over weight get there life and health back, very sincere.
His staff so far are great, extremely nice and concerned. His nusre was also very informative and talked to us regarding the complications if we do now follow the Dr.'s orders, just the way he tells us. There is nothing I don't like about the Dr. or his staff. At least not not up until this far and I don't forsee any.His bedside manner is great. He seems so nice and caring. He explained all the risks involed in the procedure to me as well. He talks about how important exercise is after the surgery and just to follow all orders and do one exercise for the rest of your life and stay with it rain or shine and the weight will come off faster and you learn how to eat right and keep it off. He also stated that I go to a support group that it was important also for before and after the surgery. In overall, I like the Dr. and his staff very much. This is my sole opinion of him and like I said so far there are no problems with him or his staff. Everyone has been very helpful and extremely nice.

Dr. Bell is a very caring and sompetent surgeon, I was put at ease right away by his whole staff. The information they gave me was crucial in my decision making process and they never failed to answer all my questions. They are also very helpful with the insurance companies. Dr. Bell also routinely attends the support groups run by patients.

With much apprehension I met with Dr Bell, and much to my surprise I found him quite professional and very willing to answer any questions that I may have thought to be trivial. After meeting with him he helped me to overcome any anxiety that I may have had about the surgery.
His staff has been just as great as Dr Bell. His nurse Linda is the greatest.
As of this time I have no negative comments about him or his staff.
