Dr. Floyd is extremely kind. He seemed a little on the quite side at first, but now that I've gotten to know him and his staff I am so happy I found him. He is very prompt in returning calls (on a week-end), and his nurse is great in answering quetions and following up if you (think) you are having a problem.
Dr Floyd is a great guy and an excellent surgeon. His bedside manner is excellent. I haven't had any problems at all since my Lap RNY on 1/27/06.
He was supportive and kind. His office staff is wonderful. Kenny in particular is awesome with paperwork and approvals. He moves mountains. Kenny is able to leap over tall buildings in a single bound.
I would recommend Dr Floyd to my closest friends and family, and YOU....
After meeting Dr. Floyd today- I am 100% sure he will be a great surgeon for me. He explained everything to me. He ask questions about my husband and my family- how nice of him to ask. Dr. Floyd is soft spoken gentleman and I trust that he will do a great job. When you are facing a major, life changing surgery- you need to be comforted in your decision- and that is exactly what you get with Dr. Floyd and his staff. ;)
I believe that first impressions are important but I believe that lasting impressions are what matter the most.
He preformed a superb surgery on me. He has been there to give me a hug when I needed it. He has answered all of my questions (even the ones that were totally off the wall). He encourages me every step of the way. His bedside manner is what you would dream that every physician possessed.
I'm sure he has a flaw somewhere but I sure haven't found it yet. He's awesome!
He was easily obtainable after hours through his answering service.
His nurse Kathy is compassionate and understanding.
Kenny worked tirelessly to get my insurance approved and my surgery scheduled.

12/29/05 I had my first consultation with Dr. Floyd in Edmond, OK. He was very nice and informative. He was very eager to go over any questions I had and I felt very comfortable with him.
Wonderful man, down to earth, compassionate and easy to talk to. Understands his patients and truly cares.
My first impression of Dr. Floyd was that he was a bit timid, but once we visited, that opinion changed. He's a sweetheart. His office staff is awesome. They are very kind and caring. I was greeted with nothing but smiles in there. I didn't feel out of place.
I liked Dr. Floyd from the beginning. He is on the quiet side but quick to laugh and joke with you. He explained everything with a straight forward manner so that you would understand what you were getting yourself into. The office staff is exceptional especially Kenny who without his help the process with insurance would be as pain free as it was. He has the answers and he gets back to you when you need questions answered about your insurance.
The office has a very structured aftercare program that leaves little for doubt. I am glad I chose this office because of the way I was treated and the coordination that exists between the office and the hospital.
I know it says things cannot be 100% but for me the experience was organized and pleasant. I have no complaints about the process. I saw Dr. Floyd for the first time on October 21st and my surgery was November 21st. I recommend this office and Edmond Medical Center.
