Philip Fischer Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Dr Fischer is wonderful. I knew I had made the right decision to us him right after I met him. He is very down to earth and spent alot of time with me. He is very thorough and orders necessary testing if he thinks you need it pre-op. His nurse Teresa is also wonderful. I feel like I had known both of them my whole life after I left the office. I would recommend Dr. Fischer to anyone.

Dr. Fisher is wonderful and kind. He really understands your problems and cares about you. I would use him again a million times.

My husband also had the surgery with him pryor to me.

My first impression of Dr.Fischer was "Wow, he looks young." But he was so knowledgable, and soft spoken. Every question I had written down, he covered it before I asked. That really meant alot to me. I had heard nothing but good things about Dr. Fischer, that is what influenced me to go to him in the first place. I was very relieved to learn for myself why everyone spoke so highly of him. The staff was also very helpful and nice. Dr. Fischer was very thorough and stresses before and aftercare very, very much. He is very cautious. That made me feel better. He really was straight to the point when it came to the risk and what I was to expect before and after the surgery.Overall I would rate him a 8.5, and that is only because nobody's perfect and I'm only in the beginning stage of the surgery.

I saw Dr. Fischer Monday,at 3 p.m.,,,first impression AWESOME. He spent over a hour in the room going over everything with me. Never once did I feel rushed. Dr. fischer spends alot of time talking about structured aftercare program.
Office staff is friendly and that helps alot.

Dr. Fischer was wonderful. We had to wait awhile before he came in, but it was worth the wait. He was never in a hurry, made sure my husband and I understood everything. The staff in the office was very nice. Teresa, Dr. Fischer's nurse, was very attentive, caring, and sincerly concerned. My husband was a little worried that Dr. Fischer was so young, until my husband realized that Dr. Fischer knew what he was talking about. I would recommended him to anyone.

I think Dr. Fischer is the best. He took the time to explain everything in detail, including the risks involved. He is very caring. His staff is wonderful and will answer even the craziest questions. Dr. Fisher is very strict about his afercare program. WALK...WALK...WALK

I would recommend Dr. Fisher to anyone interested in this surgery.

I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY LEGS AND GOT SENT OT A VASCULAR SURGEON LAST AUG. JUST SO HAPPEN THAT MY VASCULAAR SURGEON IS IN THE SAME OFFICE WITH DR FISCHER AND THAT IS HOW I MET DR FISCHER. I MET DR FISCHER AT HIS SIMINAR AND THEN KEPT MY APPOINTMENT HE WAS VERY CARING AND GIVING OF HIMSELF......HE TAKES TIME TO MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE ......I HAD MY SURGERY ON 3/15/04 AND MY VISIT AND WEIGH IN WAS 10 DAYS LATER I LOST 25 POUNDS MY FIRST 10 DAYS ....... I WILL RECOMMEND HIM TO OTHER BECAUSE I KNOW AFTER 25 YRS OF NURSING THAT A GOOD DR AND A GOOD COMMUNCATION SKILLS LIKE HE HAS IS VERY IMPORTANT FERN

Dr Fischer is so detail oriented; he looks at you as a whole person; he is on top of everything and triumphs with you!

He is huge on after care and followup;
He has a great aftercare program

He addresses the risk of surgery very thoroughly; with pamphlets, thoroough talks and videos. He even has us take a test to make sure we understand everything

I would rate him a 10!!!

Both his surgical competence and his bedside manner are superb! You wouldn't go wrong with Dr. Fischer! He saved my life!!

My first impression with Dr. Fischer was that he seemed very competent and thorough. My first impression did not change, but only grew stronger as time went by.

Dr. Fischer's staff is very caring and helpful. I needed letters for my insurance company to pay all of my benefits. Wanda and Susan made sure I had what I needed.

I can't think of a thing about Dr. Fischer that I did not like. As I said before, he is very thorough and he is also cautious. Dr. Fischer went over every possible complication and hid nothing from me. He believes in a very structured aftercare program. I will see him on into the future and he also recommended a support group to me. Would I refer him? Yes! He is wonderful and because of him, my life has changed.

The only thing I can think of, that I didn't like, was the long wait. This surgery has become so popular I had to wait a long time to have it.

Dr. Fischer is a very easy going person. He seems very sincere and personally interested in you. I am very comfortable with him and I feel I can trust his judgements.

His staff is great. Very professional and personable.

He is very straight forward about the surgery and explains the benefits and the risks very clearly.
