My experience with Lite Dimentions in Fountain Valley was very positive. I had open gastric bypass surgery on June 4, 2002. The pre-op testing was very organized and I got it all done in one place and in one day. I paid cash for my surgery because I do not have insurance, so I finnished my testing and had a surgery date very quickly. Dr. LePort's office staff gave me a cash payment schedule to follow. This was very helpful.
Dr.LePort is an excellent surgeon and a master of Bariatric Surgery, but I must say he is very busy so I have not seen him too often pre or post-op. He is more serious and lacks the bedside manner that his associates have. He is the best around though, so that is why I chose him. I was less interested in bedside manner.
Lite Dimentions offers two support groups each week-on Monday and Thursday. They are lead by Diane LeMonte. She is awesome. The support groups are awesome. I have learned so such from others in these groups. There are a lot of people pre/post-op who attend group, so we get a large turn out.
I am very satissfied with the service I received with Lite Dimentions. I would reccommend this program to everyone.

I a very satisfied with my surgery and the results that are taking place.

My first impression of Dr LePort and his office staff was very favorable. I had heard nothing but good things about him, and I concur that he is the best. Although he is extremely busy, he was very complete with me. He explained the surgery in full, including the dangers, and made sure I fully understood everything. The only negative I have to say is that if you choose Dr LePort over the other doctors in his practice you must wait longer for a surgery date. I had my initial consultation to learn about the surgery on May 14, 2002, and my appointment with Dr Leport on June 11, 2002.
I feel tht his staff is totally compentent also. They took care of getting approval from my insurance carrier (First Health) and two days later I was approved. That was on June 13. I guess in the scheme of things, four months is not long, but I am a person who wants to DO something once I decide on it.
Dr LePort's office stresses going to support group meetings. There is one on Monday night and one on Thursday night. I started attending them in June to make sure I had made the right choice. I have to say I have never been sorry. The group has about 50+ attendees each meeting. There are people in all stages and I am looking forward to tonight which will be my first post op meeting.
I would rate Dr LePort and his staff a 10 out of 10. I personally havn't had a bad experience at all, but I must say everything has worked out for me both before and after surgery so if you have no problems to work out, you probably have no complaints.
I know in your prompts to help compose this review you make the point that no one is the "best". I fully agree, and would never say Dr LePort is "beter than everyone else", but he is up there with them in my opinion.

Dr Leport was the best choice I could make. having had prior hernia repairs and an abdomen fully of adhesions he was willing to take the chance to preform my GB. I was so glad that he responded to my email and also worked with my local doctors office. His entire staff is well trained and they truly care about the patients they treat. My follow up appointments were always on time and the staff was always ready to answer any questions and offer their praises. The support group that the have is excellent with a wonderful program that covers a variety of topics/ The entire process was professional, infot\rmative and addressed allmy questions. They also have access to the products that he recommends which made it easy to get what I needed during follow ups.

My first impression was not great. Sort of cold and aloof sitting in his very impressive office with a large replica of the Starship Enterprise on his desk.

My second appointment with him was MUCH better. He was a real person, just came in from surgery in his scrubs. He asked some good questions, told me the risks of Lap vs. Open and generally was favorable.

The office staff are on the ball. They answer questions promptly, work with insurance well, and are flexible. Also, they've had many of the same people for over a year and a half -- pretty good for a doctor's office.

No

Friendly, caring, professional and always very helpful with any questions.
His lack of visits in the Hospital post-op.

That I think he happens to be the best baritric surgeon around. I would trust him with anything I have done.
His emphasize on aftercare starts way before the surgery.

Yes,completely in detail.

Excellent.

My first impression of Dr. LePort was positive.I found him to be warm and very informative about the WLS.He is a busy man heading up a very thriving WLS practice as well as general surgery. He took the time to
explain everything and was adamant about
the aftercare followup. The group offers weekly support groups twice a week at different hospitals. The support group is run by a psychologist and is very well attended. My post-op visits have been mainly with Osma ,a PA and this is fine with me.I will see the doctor any time that I wish to.

i found him kind and caring.still have that feeling about him.he has a great office staff, all very helpfull.can't think of anything least about him.he cares very much about his job and his clients.patients can feel free to ask him any question.......he loves his job and cares about you.he's very interested on after care and drills the importants about it into you.his group hold 2 group meetings aweek ......very structure care but you have to be willing to use it.....he adressed the risks of surgery up front......seeein him and the groups.i would rate him very high.....both are great.what they gave me for pain i had a alergic reaction only bad thing......

I have not had much luck with his office. I have been waiting for them to send in my paperwork for two weeks now. Every time I call, I get the same thing...missing something. They don't call when they need verification or some other paperwork. I am very frustrated with the nurses. As for the surgeon, I really like Dr. Ali. He answered all my questions and was very open. He did not skirt around one issue.

My first impression of Dr. LePort was that it was obvious he is an extremely busy man. I had attended a support group and he was there answering questions so I had already had many questions answered. During our office visit he took the time to explain everything to me (risks included) and explained that this was a tool he could give me to use. This was in November and in January I had an approval and surgery date. I'm scheduled to start all my preop stuff and getting anxious and a little scared. I know from all the research that I have done that I wouldn't have anyone other than Dr. LePort. He did a friends surgery about 7 years ago and he did a relatives about 8 months ago. Both are doing well and look great.
