My first impression was that he seemed young, but I guess he is relatively speaking. The office staff is superb!!! Very friendly and helpful and sincere. Make sure you have your questions ready before hand otherwise your time with Dr. P will be very short. I maybe saw him for 20 minutes. I'm not sure about the after care program. Everything I found out I found out from his staff. He did address the risks of surgery nicely and very seriously. I'd give him a 8. He seems very competent but quiet. So far I would rate the staff a 10. I enjoyed them greatly.

He is great. Everyone that I met in his office is great. He really cares about his patients. He is very positive but also realistic. He explained the surgery thoroughly and answered all of my questions. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both wonderful. His office also explains all of the aftercare and importance of it. I am very happy with him and his office. I heard the insurance woman are real sticklers and have upset a few people but I luckily did not have to meet them.

Dr. Papasavas is a very kind soul with a easygoing manner. He explains everything in detail and does not rush you in any way. I would be honored to enter surgery with him and his whole team. I was impressed by their compassion and knowledge on all sides of the weight loss and insurance issures. Very efficient office...best I have ever seen!

May 22, 2003 - Well, I met him today. Such a nice younger man. I had to ask him how old he was. He has a baby face! He said that he was 33 years old and that he enjoyed the work that he did. He explained everything to me... IN DETAIL... and his assistant was very nice and KNOWLEDGEABLE also. Some of the other girls that work in the office were so-so. I did not like the woman in charge of the insurance side, but there is always one person or one thing that you do not like.

I am not a very trusting person, but I think that I will be fine with Dr. Pavlos. He explained all the things that could possibly go wrong (if anything) and he explained the care that I would receive if things did go wrong.

I am frightened of course... but it is a "healthy" frightened.

June 26, 2003 I am a little concerned that he is not doing the gallbladder ultrasound. Also he did not tell me to do the "clear liquids" the day before surgery. I still do not like the girl in the office who does the insurance. I guess she is right about needing the supplemental policy though. I just pray I get things moving before my surgery date. I do not want to have to postpone it until a later time.
