After 3 surgeries over the past year and a half, I totally trust Dr. Guske. He has always made me feel that all of my questions and concerns are valid and should be addressed. One thing that has always impressed me about Dr. Guske, is that he always has time for his patients and makes sure that they understand everything about their health and procedures. I am at a point where I am looking at some plastic surgery, and feel confident in all of the help that I will receive from Dr. Guske and his office. Dr. Guske has a great bedside manner and I feel completely confident in his surgical competence.

Very professional. Office staff is very dedicated to helping their customers in whatever they may need. I did have to wait about 1/2 hr after my appointment time to come in but I figured he was busy, no big deal.

A friend of mine went through him and was very staisfied also. Great bedside manner..even AFTER surgery adn with her 1 complication..he came into the hospital on a Sunday afternoon from home to attend to her needs.

Very down to earth who will answer all questiosn honestly, atleast that's how it seemed to me.

I first met Dr. Guske in October of 2000. Dr. Guske came highly recommended by another physician that I trusted completely. He was my husbands surgeon for a problem unrelated to WLS. My husband had many health issues which required us to see Dr. Guske quite often. Not only was he competant but you could also tell how much he truly cared about his patients.

After my husband died in February of 2002, I decided it was time to start taking care of myself. When I decided to have Weight Loss Surgery I knew that Dr. Guske was the right doctor for me. My impression has not changed in the 3-1/2 years that I have known him. He is truly amazing.

I had my appointment with Dr. Guske on February 5th. I thought he was wonderful - very personable and caring. He explained the surgery and any complications. He was very reasuring about any fears I had. I have complete confidence in him. I wish I could have him for a PCP. They sent my letter in to United Healthcare on January 22nd and now we're waiting for an answer. My husband and I were very impressed with Dr. Guske.

I met with Dr. Guske on Feb. 5th. He is so very compasionate about what he does. He put me at ease about all of the risks associated with the surgery.

I will be forever grateful to Dr. Guske (and all the doctors I have seen in the practice) for giving me my life back! Dr. Guske was reassuring, kind, and caring as well as an experienced and able surgeon. I am now 7 months post-op and have lost 70 pounds.
I would choose this surgery and practice again in a minute! I have been fighting the weight battle since I was 8 years old and it is wonderful to finally be successful. I have been given an awesome tool and plan on finally winning this life-threatening battle.

When I first met Dr. Guske, I thought he was great at making me feel at ease. I felt good about the fact that he ended up being my doctor. I was very scared about the surgery, as I have other health factors that play into my reason to have it. He told me I was doing the right thing, and that I should feel good about my choice.
The only thing that has bothered me about having Dr. Guske as my surgeon, is that I have not seen him since right before the surgery. During my hospital stay other doctors from his office checked in on me, but it felt strange as I didn't know them and had never spoken to them before. Also, on my first visit after being released from the hospital, I was not able to see him either. Currently I am 3 weeks out from surgery and have not spoken to my doctor since. I guess I would have preferred to move the date of my surgery if I had known I wouldn't be seeing my doctor again. It is hard for me to rate Dr. Guske right now, as the surgery went fine, I think.. but I don't quite know what the future holds. I think his surgical competence is great.. but I had no bedside manner.

I just wanted to add an update to this. I had found out that Dr. Guske had a vacation scheduled and left the day after my surgery. I guess I wish I knew that upfront. He is a great doctor though, and I would definately recommend him to anyone who asked. I think I just fell into the cracks. I definately like the fact that he is down to earth, and patient, as after surgery you are going through a lot of changes, and he takes the time to listen to you.
