From the very first informational session I attended in June 2007, to the second one I brought my husband to in November 2007, to my consult, Nick Nicholson continues to stand head and shoulders above any surgeon I've researched for this procedure.rnrnHe's extremely well-mannered and approachable, he spends time answering ALL your questions, and his approach to WLS is balanced and based on what's based for each patient's unique needs.rnrnI feel like I'm in the best possible hands.
Dr. Nicholson seem to be super, I attended his simminar and I was so please with the out come, especialy the fact that Dr. Nicholson was the one that spoke threw out the siminar. rnhe made me feel very confedent about him and his staff I believe it has been Christin that I have spoke with most on his staff, and she is very sweet and helpful, I have also just had my first visit with the Dr.Nicholson, he is very detailed and likeable, I would say he is a keeper. all I have todo is get approved, and God willing everything will move forward. Thanks to Dr. Nicholson
Dr. Nicholson and his staff are excellent. rnMy husband and I attended the weight loss seminar at Baylor Plano and were very impressed with the info received. My husband was dead-set against this surgery. Dr. Nicholson took the time to answer all questions at the end of the seminar, no matter that we went over the time alloted for the entire program. As we walked to the car to go home, my husband told me to \"go for it\". From my first office visit to my surgery, the office staff was first rate. All my questions and fears were addressed. The day of surgery, I was petrified, even though I tried to hide it. I think he saw right through me and told me he would take good care of me. Dr. Nicholson is a very caring person and I highly recommend him.
I love my surgeon! He was so well versed and cooperative. He kept in touch with me every step of the way. Not to mention that I had to call him after hours a couple of times after my surgery and he was so wonderful! Trust me - use this man! He is the best!! He was honest and upfront with me. The first thing that I have asked him was had he ever had a patient die? He was honest and explained every obstacle that I would face. I am so blessed to have had this surgeon! Thank you God! The glory be to you!!!
Dr. Nick is very knowledgeable in his field. I took many notes at the seminar. I noticed right away that he was fit. That says that he believes in what he is doing. I have nothing bad to say so far.rnCrimson works at his office. She is awesome. I feel free to call her any time. Whether I am frustrated, anxious, or confused, she tells me what I need to know, or what the next step is. She told me about this site.rnrnMy Pre-Op appt. is today.
I first went to a siminar. He as was very open and informative with the process, what he expected out of his patients and what his patients could expect out of him. His office staff is awsome. I worked with a girl named Crimson. She told me what paperwork to provide, and she dealt with the insurance company. I was denied 4 times. The last time was because I did not have enough time with weight watchers or another commercial weight loss program. She filed again with the insurance company requesting that a non-partial 3rd party doctor review my case. I then got my approval letter. Dr. Nicholson works hand and hand with the Baylor Bariatric Program. I have a complete road map of what to expect. It includes everything, the pre-op test required, the items I need for the hospital, what to expect when I am recovering, and what he expects as far as seeing the nutritionist, going to supports meetings. etc. He has made me quite aware that this is live altering and is for the REST of my life.
When I first met Dr. Nicholson, I was very nervous and he set me at ease right away. He has a very calm and positive nature about him and is also comedic at times. He was also very honest in his siminar, explaining the good the bad and sometimes uglies of WLS. I would have to say that the only thing some may find \"offensive\" about him is his blunt honesty, which I tend to appriciate. Every time I saw him I became more aware of the obvious way he treats all of his patients. I never felt like he was belittling me, or degrading me because of my weight I only felt that not only he but his entire staff were there to encourage and support me. He has support groups and the offer an excercise program at their WLSC guided by Physical Therapists so you can learn how to work out the safe way. I would highly recommend Dr.Nicholson he also preformed a hernia repair for me. He is very competent in both surgical skill and fantastic bedside manner.
