My first impression was the Dr. Marymor was a very serious man, who knew exactly what he was doing, and explained it that way.I ve read the other testimonials and they are accurate in describing Dr. Marymor. However I want to add my experience after surgey, about 10 days after surgery i developed pneumonia [ thru no fault of Dr. Marymor ]. I called his cell phone , he answered and said i should go to area hospital. He spoke to the ER docs while they were assessing me, when i woke up in the morning the first face I saw was Dr. Marymor.[ to my knowledge he is not on staff at this hospital]. He went on vacation the following week and the following Sunday he called me at home to see how I was doing. I have always felt the true indication of a Doctors compassion is not when things are going fine, but when things are not perfect. Dr. Marymor is good man and a better doc.
When I first met Dr. Marymor he came across as very businesslike and serious about explaining Open RNY to me. His manner was professional. While not overly friendly, he explained just what I needed to know.rnOn the day of my surgery he made me feel comfortable and calm. He was sincerely apologetic for a surgery delay that occured a few days earlier. After surgery I got to really see him in action and I can tell everyone that a more caring, compassionate, conscientious doctor would be hard to find.rnI watched him side by side with other staff and I could see the respect he showed them and the high regard they had for him. rnAs far as him sharing information ( risks, aftercare) he was quite upfront.rnHis overall rating would be superior -as a surgeon and bedside manner. rnrn
My first impression on dr marymor was that hes kind and friendly didn't have much of a beside manner but very caring and understanding he is a remarkable person because while being there for my consult w/dr marymor his cell phone went off and it was a patient so i was very impressed he took the time to even give his cell number out. overall hes a good doctor
rnVery nice and honest. rnrnHe is very open and honest about pros and cons of the surgery. Don't expect him to act like there's no chance of complications. The sacrring is amazing. I thought I would have an ugly scar but it is very thin and healing wonderfully.rnrnHe emphasize strongly on aftercare.rnrnYes he does. After surgery you will recieve a binder with very detailed information pertaining to the surgery, aftercare, and Q&A for family and friends.rnrnHe explained the risks of all of the complications and the percentage of complications that can arise.rnrnI would highly recommend Dr. Marymor.. 10+rnrnBoth is great. rn
My first impression was that he was all business. I had been to the Barix Clinic 2 years before & met with Dr. Kaczmarski whom I liked very much. He seemed more personable.rnrnDr Marymor called me after receiving a report from my cardiologist. He was concerned with the report and asked me if I would be having a cardiac catherizaion. I advised I had one scheduled and he was relieved to know this. This was my first indication that I had picked the right surgeon for me.rnrnThe staff was wonderful, very professional.rnrnDr Marymor was very thorough explaining the surgery, what the risks were, what could happen & what he would do if something happened. He was great with my Mom and my son.rnrnI would rate him and his nurses as exceptional. He provides you with his cell number once you leave the hospital as he would rather you call him directly than call the service.rnrnBoth his surgical competence and bedside manner were great!
My impression of Dr. Marymor is, he's a very kind and smart man. He had away about him that made me feel calm and confident in his ability and desire to help me. I felt he understood me. He isn't a mushy, overly showy man but he does have a nice smile and a friendly demeanor.rnrnI am confident that I have found the perfect surgeon for me.rnrnThe staff at the Barix Clinic in Langhorne Pa. are wonderful. Everyone is so kind. Linda is a riot, and so compassionate. Every person I have met has made me feel comfortable.rnrnI am excited about my upcoming surgery and I will let you know as time goes on how I feel.rnrnUpdate post op.rnI was right I think the Langhore Group is top notch. My nurses were so wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a better experience.rnThe nutritionists are wonderful, the respitory group were awsome and I love ya Michelle, even though you made me walk! Dr. Marymor was teriffic. His talent and skill are apparent to me. I have had a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone, and have.
When I first met Dr.Marymor, I immediately got the impression that he was all business. Which, if somebody is going to rip my insides apart, is not all that bad. Dr. Marymor has performed over 800 wls in his career and he strictly does open ryn, which is what attracted me to him to begin with. If I need new brakes, I go to the garage. If I need a root canal, I go to the dentist. I think you get the picture. This is ALL Dr. Marymor does. He is a perfectionist and, when all was said and done, he performed like a perfectionist. On the morning of my surgery, he made me very comfortable and, when I got out of surgery, he filled me in immediately on how things went. And they went fantastic. If there is a better surgeon out there, I'd love to meet him. By the way, since my surgery, Dr. Marymor has shown a humorous side during my follow-up visits. I believe that first impression he made was to let me know the seriousness of this procedure and that he was all business, which is exactly what I wanted.
Dr. Marymor is, simply put, awesome! Others may not like him or find him a bit \"short\" or \"blunt\" but I like someone who tells it like it is and doesn't \"sugarcoat\" anything. The man gave me a new lease on life. He took fantastic care of me during my stay at the clinic and treated my family with the utmost respect when they had questions (both before AND after the procedure). I have seen him twice since my surgery and he always seems genuinely concerned about my well-being and he is more than willing to take the time to give me a thorough evaluation and answer any questions that I may have. I have nothing negative to say about him at all! He is an absolute Godsend.
