Muhammad Jawad Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

I have my first appointment on july 24 2009. I don't see the MD yet but I have contact with the staff. They really take care you and try you understand all over the differents surgery and the risk of each one. Also they have staff who speak spanish and the spanish people like me feel more comfortable and able to understand everything with out difficult. Just last thursday september 24, 2009 I receive a phone call and they notify my healt insurence approve the surgery and the next on schedule is on october 7,2009. I soo exciting and said yes I still interest to have the surgery and I need to go in october 1, for pre admision and they going to send the papers to my home. I exciting and scare at the same time. I know that surgery going to change all my live and my self stim as well. I hope God continue help me and I have my surgery without any complications. Dr Jawad have a good reputation and less complications on patients after surgery.

Dr. jawad is an exceptional doctor. I felt very comfortable with him and his staff. He was very upfront about the risks and what to expect after surgery. His staff was very responsive to my needs and concerns. His after care program is great. He comes to the Support Group meetings and provides great guest speakers. He solicits what the support group wants to discuss at meetings and schedules speakers to talk on the issues we are interested in. I wish I would have met him years ago!!!!

My first impresion of my surgeon and the are very nice and helful.

First impression he was straight to the point.I was impressed by his knowledge and straight forward answers to all my questions.

He is very nice, he really know what he is doing. I love the staff everytime you go in they are very friendly and enjoy your weight loss with you. They let you know everything you need to know about the surgery and after surgery care. If I had to rate them it would be a 10. I feel that both surgical competence and bedside were great. I have told people that Dr Jawad is the best if they need the surgery go to him. I think the least thing I disliked was all the classes, but they really want you to know want your getting into because this is a life change and if your not ready to change your eating life style then don't do it. But with all the information my surgery has been a success.

Love Dr. Jawad, have known him as an RN who took care of his patients for greater than 20 years! He is a great surgeon, the only one I would have operate on me! Office is great, they are all friendly and they have the process down. He will let you know this is a TOOL.... and you have your work to do too! Great education pre and post... someone always available to answer questions.rnSurgery was great, he did great work, no complications... up a moving in 2 hours and you keep it up. Unlike many surgeons, he also has a personality that makes you feel good, and like you are important. Can't say enough about Dr. Jawad...he's the best. You have to participate in your care though, people are there for you, you do have to reach out to them if you are having issues, unless you contact them, they are going to know and will see you at scheduled visits only.

I work in the medical field in the which Dr Jawad practices so my decision to choose him was not hard, as he is admired by all who come in contact with him. He is VERY thorough and has an excellent success rate of patients. Best of all, Dr Jawad has an excellent moral standard and treats his patients like people in need and not fat people he needs to \"fix\" like other physicians.rnrnI am blessed to live in the town where the best of the best practices!

Office is very friendly and they make you feel welcome. My first visit was very good they answer any questions and a few of them are his former patients themselves.

I feel very comfortable with my choice to go to Bariatric & Laparoscopy Center of Ocala.

I had complete faith in Dr Jawad. Everything is explained to you in detail. He is very soft spoken when he comes to see you. He has a very structured pre-op and post-op programs. He was very straight-forward about the risks with this surgery.

Dr Jawad was very quiet but very knowledgeable regarding the LapBand and the Gastric Bypass. His office staff are very nice and know exactly what has to be done to get you approved. I do have to say that I continually had to call for progress reports but that is probably due to me being so anxious. After care is extremely important. Dr Jawad stresses that follow up care is crucial to maintaining a healthy pouch (as in my case). He has all his patients attend a \"class\" prior to being discharged. It helped me to better understand what he had done and what to expect. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Jawad as a bariatric surgeon.
