I liked him from the get go.He was very matter of fact and honest,he has a great staff in his office. He and his staff were very informative.I never felt like I didn't know what was going on.He was honest about risks but didn't scare me.Even the nurses in the hospital had a great deal of respect for him.I thought he was great. And I always smile when I see him.

I liked Dr. Jawad as soon as I met him. He was a soft spoken man, but he made sure that I understood the procedure, and what was expected of me after the surgery. He answered all of my questions, and all of my husband's questions. His office staff was very friendly. They told me exactly what to expect when Dr. Jawad came in to talk with me. Traci was also very professional. She took time to look at the letters and other documentaion that I brought with me. She was EXTREMELY helpful! Dr. Jawad was very specific as to what he expected of me after the surgery, and he went over the aftercare with me in great detail. Other patients should know that he is very quiet, and reserved. He will tell you up front that the surgery is merely a tool, and the rest is up to you as to whether or not it is successful. Overall, I would rate Dr. Jawad a 10++ I have complete confidence in him and his abilities as a surgeon.

My first appointment is on November 11, 2002.

I met with Dr. Jawad in November of 2001. His staff were very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Jawad has a polite bed side manner and was willing to answer all of my questions. His nurse, Tracy was and has been awesome. She has helped me every step of the way. I did not receive approval until July because I needed six more months of PCP supervised weight loss attempts.

He addressed the surgery risk as this - any surgery has risk and he listed the particular ones for this surgery; but living obese has risks too. He allowed me to make an informed choice and did not push the surgery on me. He advised my Husband and I to do our research and attend a support group of local patients. When I consulted this group they all spoke highly of him.

Also, while I was waiting in the lobby for my appointment - there were several people there for postop that had come from all across the USA and told me that his post op care is fantastic.

So far, I am very satisfied with my surgeon selection. Regardless of his ability to speak clear english.

I chose Dr. Jawad based on his reputation and the fact that he has a lot of experience doing the surgery laproscopically. He seems all business but that is fine for me. We had a snafu over an apointment but that seems to be resolved now, so overall I would rate his staff as helpful and competent.

3-28-02 I had my first consultation with Dr.Jawad today.
My first impression of him was, he is thorough, sincere, gentle and reserved. He answered all my questions and spent time with me. I never felt rushed.
He explained the procedure thoroughly and I felt confident that he was experienced in his field.
His office staff were friendly and very helpful. They told me to call the office with any questions I may have. Traci, the Gastric-Bypass Coordinator is great. She is efficient and on top of everything. I called her several times and she always answered my questions and called me back when I left messages. She was a big help. You could not have a better person for this job.
6-19-02 I am approved!! I have a surgery date 10-9-02!!!! I am so excited and so is my family.

I have a favorable impression after my first office visit, both with the doctor and staff.
Insurance paperwork was submitted quickly, and I was approved for surgery after only 4 weeks. I'm looking forward to the next step...

I was referred to Dr Jawad by a co-worker who had gone through the surgery with him. She had warned me that his bedside manner was not the greatest but that she felt very confident in him medically. I went to my consultation visit last Nov. and true he did not have the greatest bedside manner, but I felt very comfortable with him. The office staff was wonderful and since then has helped me tremendously whenever I needed it. Traci is the gastric bypass coordinator and does everything that she can to help. My first visit went well and finally after months of fighting with Blue Cross Health Options, I have been approved. My surgery was set for April 10, but Dr Jawad broke his wrist and I had to reschedule. My new date is Aug. 6 and I cannot wait!!! In my opinion a competant surgeon is much more important than a good bedside manner. I would definitely recommend anyone to see Dr. Jawad.

I initially selected Dr Jawad because i was adamant about getting a lap. All i can say is i feel so much better after meeting him. when your a nurse I think you tend to look at doctors in a different way. I was very happy with him. He was very at ease and it gave me a "nervous nelly "a calming affect.
