Dr. Wood is outstanding !! I found his staff really caring, and always returned phone calls promptly. He has a wonderful emphasis on patient education and explained the procedure in great detail, but very easy to understand. Dr. Wood is affiliated with Harper DMC Hospital which has a specific Bariatric floor which is rated as a Center of Excellence.rnHis aftercare program is wonderful, with good input from dieticians, and wonderful written materials. I had a great surgical experience and would highly recommend Michael Wood.

My first impression I was a little nervous, they had just moved to a temp location that was small and uninviting. However, after listening to Dr. Wood in my consult I would go to a hole in the wall for a surgeon of his caliber. With my insurance I can go anywhere but I choose to stay with him. He is great, very knowledgable and answered all my questions. The staffing in the office were also wonderful they took time to answer my questions as well. rnrnDr. Wood is precise and direct he has such a great success rate because he is so informative he told me exactly what he expects of me and what I can expect from him. Overall I would highly recommend him and look forward to having him do my surgery.

Dr. Wood is not only a wonderful surgeon but a wonderful person. I was immediately comfortable with him. He did a great job, I had no complications, his staff is awesome as well. Beth, his P.A. is just as warm and caring as Dr. Wood.

When I went for my consult I was very impressed with how nice and knowledgable Dr. Wood was. I felt that it was meant to be that he would be surgeon and God has placed me in perfect hands. When we discussed that I wanted to have the LapBand done he stated that I would be a perfect candidate for that procedure. He was very supported and said that I would do GREAT. That made me feel wonderful and he made me feel wonderful.

Dr. Wood is an Awesome man, very dedicated to all of his patients. He is willing to take the time to answer all of your question and to ensure that you are comfortable with your procedure. Dr. Wood's attention to details was evident to me on the first day that we meet and has continued through out my experience with him. As I was thinking about doing this I continually prayed that God would put me in the hands of the best surgeon in this field. It has been three weeks since my surgery and I firmly believe that God answered all of my prayers. Dr. Wood told me during our first encounter that he enjoys his practice because this procedure heals people and that is why he has dedicated his practice to only doing bariatric surgeries. I believe that Dr. Wood takes a personal interest in all of his patients. When I went to see him at my 10 day check he was so happy about my results and the fact that I lost 30 pounds that I believe he was more excited than I was.

I had read about Dr. Wood for years....before I ever seriously considered WLS. I feel like he's a pioneer in the field and he has performed over 2,000 surgeries. When I decided to investigate the surgery, I knew I wanted to check out him and the Cori Center. I have had my consultation with him, but have not scheduled surgery yet. I like Dr. Wood very much and feel like I'll be in the best of hands. The Cori Center has been good to deal with so far.

My first impression of Dr. wood is that he was completely willing to listen to my concerns and he was willing to work with me and my surgery choice. He does more RNY surgeries but I was adamant about getting the LapBand. I did not encounter any problems or issues in my decision and he treated me like I knew what I was doing and that I had enough knowledge to make my a decision that was right for me.rnrnThe office staff seems to be great. I haven't had to deal with them much and I was even an hour late for an appt (I had written the wrong time down) and they squeezed me in! It was great! What other office would work with you that much? It was after all my fault. rnrnDr. Wood had great bedside manner and I was confident in his surgical competence. Overall the experience couldnt have gone better.

Dr. Wood is a caring professional. He wants to make sure that you understand the procedures and requirements. He truly wants you to suceed and not let yourself down. As a Doctor he is precautionary and takes things very seriously. He wants to know how motivated you are, and what you are going to do to take care of yourself for the long-term. Incredible bedside manner, no jokes about care - this is a true professional and knowledgebale surgeon.

Dr. Wood was wonderful!! He's an excellent surgeon who know's what he's doing. I felt so comfortable putting my life in his hands and I'd recommend him to anybody!!

Dr. Woods has the best bedside manner I've ever experienced. He'll hold your hand and try and comfort you if your in pain. Always concerned and takes the necessary steps to find out whats wrong if theres a problem. Wouldn't go to any one else.
