First I want to give honor to GOD from where all BLESSINGS FLOW... rnI want to thank him for giving Dr. Kligman the ability to do what he do... I thank GOD that one day I walked into my PHP and she told me that she wanted me to go to the BEST... then she wrote on a peice of paper... DR. MARK KLIGMAN... First off we have folks saying to us that we don't need the surgery... then I want to add... people lose thier eye site and want it back... what do they do... they have surgery to get it back... WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE from having GASTRIC bypass... Your getting back what you once had...rnThank you Jesus...rnrnNow about Dr. Kligman... I RESPECT a man who RESPECT me enough to tell me that I need to do something with myself... I RESPECT a MAN who is willing to give me something back that I took away from myself...rnThere is nothing and I mean nothing that I would do different when it comes to Dr. Kligman... This man is now my friend... I trust him to do a GREAT job for me... my family and anyone else who is seeking weight loss... Dr. Kligman is a man that will not lie and tell you that it's easy... he let's you know that this task will be a hard one but sticking to the program will get you wonderful results... I thank GOD for giving him the knowledge that he has... I can't wait to get on the Operating table, wake up and start my new life...rnrn
When I first met Dr. Kligman, I thought that he came across as cocky. But the more that I listened to him and went to another seminar, I realized that he had the right to be very confident and that's what I liked about him the best. He treats his patients with honesty and I can appreciate that - I don't want a surgeon that is \"wishy-washy\" or untruthful.rnrnHe is very focused on the post-op care and is committed to helping his patients attain their goals. He addresses all of the risks thoroughly and doesn't hesitate to state his record of complications/infections. He has also done many revisions from other surgeon's mistakes.rnrn
When I first attended his free seminar I felt a connection with Dr.Kligman. He made me feel at ease and that continued thru the entire process. Right up to the day of my surgery I had a wonderful calm and I owe that to the Surgeon. The only thing I could say that I disliked about him was \"NOTHING\". I have heard other comments from dissatisfied patients but I have been thru this with my daughter and now myself and I can not find a thing to say other than I have a great admiration for Dr.Kligman. He saved my daughters life and he saved my life. For that I will forever be greatful. He is right up there number two on my list, only reason he is two is the man above needs to stay number one!
Dr. Kligman was upfront and honest. He had expectations of what he wanted from me. He told me of my chances of being \"open\" if I did not follow his rules and guidelines.rnrnDr. K knows a great deal about Gastric Bypass and anyone who is thinking of having this surgery....hopefully you live in Maryland now, because that is where he is at.
My first impression of Dr. Kligman was he was arogant. After the first appointment with him, I made my decision. He is very compitent and I felt confident that he was the right choice. His office staff have been amazing. They are incouraging and helpful. I didn't like the fact that he did not want to really talk with me but he was quick to answer all questions I had. Just so you know he is all about walking. He demands it in fact. He was very honest with me as to what to expect with my surgery. I would give him an 11 as a surgeon. Him being an excellent surgeon is all that matters to me.
I decided after my first try at the gastric bypass surgery failed because I became pregnant, that I would try another physician who was now in network with my new insurance. I went to a Seminar by Dr. Mark Kligman from the University of Maryland and loved him. Even in his seminar, he was straight forward and seemed very educated and nice. At the first office visit, he made sure that I met with his nurse, and nutrionist as well as set me for pre-op studies even without finished the 6mth supervised diet. You can meet that criteria within his office. I can not wait until my surgery is approved and scheduled, and I know that I am in good hands.rnIn the hospital Dr. Kligman was very professional and you can definately tell that he is well respected. The staff state that he demands excellence...this is something that you want in a surgeon.rn
I first met Dr. Kligman in July 2005 at his seminar in Glen Burnie @ North Arundel Hospital. His seminar was very thorough and I learned alot. I liked him right away. He seemed to be tough and expect alot from his patients, but I knew that is what I needed. After a year and 3 months, I finally had my surgery on October 12, 2006. Dr. K visited me in the hospital the evening of my surgery, the next morning when I was in Radiology for my Barium swallow and I saw him again before I went home. I think that the aftercare program is great. I see Mary B (Dietician) and Nadja (Nurse) at every visit. They are both wonderful and always are there to answer any questions that I may have. Everyone at Dr. K's office has always been very helpful of any questions that I have. I thank Dr. K so much for helping to give me a life that I would never have had. I feel so incredible now that I want to tell everyone. I would recommend Dr. K to anyone.
I think that Dr. Kligman & his staff are very helpful. They take the time to go over everything with you & answer any questions you may have.rnrnI think that his staff, especially Kristie went well out of her way to make sure that everything was in place with our insurance company. She was very helpful.rnrnDr. Kligman is very up front & straight forward, some may interpret this in a wrong way. I feel he is a fine doctor, he just does not beat around the bush about anything, & tells it like it is.rnrnI value that in a doctor, as I want to know exactly what can & may happen, both good & bad.rnrnIn my opinion, Dr. Kligman is a God send, he is willing to preform a life changing surgery for me that will benefit me & my health, & give me the second chance I need to be all I can be.rnrnMy thanks to him & his staff!!!rnrnCan't wait for my actual surgery date!rnrnrnMY MY MY....this Dr. up & moved to another state no word nothing, & dropped ALL his patients like hot potatoe's!!!!!rnrnI was only a few months from my date too!!!!rnrnWell I did find another Dr., Patrick White....he did my surgery 04/06/05.rnrnHe was ok, didn't know him well, & he didn't have much of a bedside manner, but everything went fine.
